Huge win at Bolton. Not pretty but the result was so important.

Lucas was boss again this game. It's a shame that Martin Tyler's monkey spreads absolute dross about him. The lad made 46/48 passes, most were forward and was involved in the goal, he made the 2nd most tackles on the team(only to Soto), he had the most interceptions and he won a ton of headers.

It's night and day when the ball is played on the floor to Torres against hoofed. Konchesky and Carra kept hoofing it aimlessly to him and it frustrated him. The 4 times an attacking ball was played to him on the ground there was a chance. First was the one he had inside 10 minutes where he couldn't decide to pass it to Lucas or finish it. 2nd was the Maxi ball that he was half a second late to against Jaaskeleinin. The third was the ball he got where he tried to put it to Gerrard put it was behind him. The 4th was the ball to Lucas which he backheeled to Maxi.

Soto and Skrtel were very good in the middle, but would still like to see Agger play instead of Skrtel.

Carragher is finished. Absolutely e this game. He doesn't have the pace, the leaping ability or the passing ability to play. Needs to be dropped ASAP for Johnson or Kelly. It's ing shameful what he does to Lucas. Instead of playing the 5 yard ball to him and allow Lucas to make the next pass, he looks at him, turns away and either puts it to a CB or hoofs it up to nobody. I'm absolutely sick of him.

Fact of the game: Not one cross from the wide players(Carra, Maxi, Konchesky, Cole) was successful.

Roy still needs to get out. He's still clueless tactically, and it's funny that the only reason we became a much better side was when he was forced to take out Cole and insert N'Gog. He wouldn't have done that on his own.

So Commoli takes the role of Theo Epstein

GL with him, his track record on English players is more miss than hit, but on foreign players its great

Daily Fail had a story on him last year at his time for Spurs which listed his work at the club so far as such

Quote:
THE HITS: Dimitar Berbatov - £10.9m from Bayer Leverkusen, Pascal Chambonda - £5.25m from Wigan
THE MISSES: Benoit Assou-Ekottu - £3.5m from Lens, Didier Zokora - £8.2m from St Etienne, Ricardo Rocha - £3.3m from Benfica, Dorian Dervitte - undisclosed from Lille, Hossam Ghaly - £3.25m from Feyenoord
JURY STILL OUT: Darren Bent - £16.5m from Charlton, Kevin-Prince Boating - £5.4m from Hertha Berlin, Younes Kaboul - £8.2m from Auxerre, Gareth Bale - £10m from Southampton, Adel Taarabt - £2.7m from Lens, Danny Rose - £680,000 from Leeds, Ben Alnwick - £1m from Sunderland

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...#ixzz14Eo3UPXt
Chimbonda would be moved to a miss now, BAE to a hit.

Of the ones with the Jury's still out I would put Bent as a miss, KPB as a miss, Taarabt as a miss, Rose is still a jury's still out but I think a bit of a hit, Alnwick miss

Kaboul is a special case because he is just now showing the potential he was supposed to have at 18 when he was signed and he had to leave the team and come back before he showed it.

Bale is obviously a hit, but Wenger had to chance to sign him and chose Theo instead (Thanks Arsene!) but he was all ready being called the next Ryan Giggs at 16 and he signed with Spurs over United because of playing time

He did make money for the club though, a lot of which was from Berba's sale

What's this about, like viewers for an LFC match or supporters group or negative like violence or something?

K details time. So Western North American reds fans are planning to have a big conference. This would be a well organized event, and Liverpool FC themselves were on conference call with our man in charge, and I assume others from North America as well. There may be a talk with a former player as well in the works. Still really early planning stage right now, however, it sounds like it's going in the right direction.

Interesting, keep us updated. As for the pitch, Stevie saved their asses last night with an incredible performance.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...l-be-sold.html

is that really the smart move, especially with all the speculation surrounding Torres?

They basically just opened him up to a tapping up

Up against Wigan today, time for another 3 points boys, dont take your foot off the gas now.

3 points today would rocket this squad up the table. Gotta love early season standings.

Could have really used a couple more points, but on the upside they've really dialed down the suck by a few notches.

One thing I did notice though, obviously, this is not the Liverpool of old, they need some more serious quality when Wigan does a decent job of bossing them.

Lucky to draw today.
Still, beat Wigan and thats 13 of a possible 15 points from past 5.
Could be worse

Stevie's howitzer off the crossbar disagrees.

Where is Agger? Whatever happened to him? Was that disagreement with Woy really that serious?

That said I do like watching the Greek God of War out there fighting.
