When does the open beta end? I barely got to play at all and would love another kick at it tonight. I know it was fine this morning before work.

I did manage to get a few more knuckle weapon drops towards the end of the quest, so I'm sure I'll be able to not use swords in the final version.

Are you able to customize your character in this game, or what's the deal with this?

There are also monk-specific staves called Daibos. They used to drop in the beta, but they were bumped up a bit in ilvl. I bet they start dropping in the areas right after the Skeleton King.
This is the lowest level Daibo:

Neat!
I think I'm going monk when the game is released, seemed to fit my play "style" and I don't want to be a boring warrior.

I only got to try the Witch Doctor.
Still, only 3 weeks to launch. I can't believe D3 is finally going to be released.

I only had time to play around with the Demon Hunter. Looks like this will be the ranged attack character, which I didn't know before choosing it.
Actually more of a combination of Amazon, Assassin from D2 - ranged attack with traps.

I wasn't a real fan of the DH, didn't seem that great over all to me.
I played through each char type and my order of enjoyment was:
1. Monk
2. Barb
3. Wiz
4. WD
5. DH
Can't wait for the game to come out, it will be a ton of fun. I think the monk class will be incredible for late game content and pvp. So much utility.

This game surpasses it's predecessor in every day: better abilities/skill system, better graphics, better environment, better sounds, better user interface, etc etc.
Although its a minor part of the game, I hope there are after-act "cinematic"; and that they are top notch and pre-rendered (not based on in-game engine)

I don't get it. After you finish the beta, how do you get decent XP?

Wait for the game to get released?
You can replay the quests again, join multi-player games and pretty much just grind. I lasted about 10 minutes before getting bored of this - this game needs to come out now dammit!

Without a doubt there will be. Cinematic cut-scenes are something Blizzard still really pride themselves on.

As well they should. They've always been a step ahead with these, and they are fantastic.

You can use pretty much any mouse on an iMac so that's up to you.
I used the Magic Mouse and didn't have any issues but I also didn't look at the mouse setting so I could have missed something.

#1 rule of playing games on a Mac: buy a non-Apple mouse. Pref Logitech since they have software that replaces the mouse acceleration curve to one closer to Windows. The OS supports generally every USB mouse, it's the actual mouse device that Apple seems to struggle to design properly. Though in D3, right click isn't *as* important as it was in D1-2.
After what ktrain mentions, I'm tempted to give my magic mouse a go (with magic pref's enabling 4-5 buttons/gestures :P ). Never been a fan of wireless mice for anything related to gaming though.
Performance wise, it'll be fine - and Blizzard's Mac support is on par with it's windows support. It's one of the reasons that company is in the position it is in today.
