So JT had an affair with Bridge's ex-girlfriend. Does that mean Bridge will cry every time his ex gets with another guy?? Is she now off limits to the world?

I realize JT is married man and had an affair, but why should it be really necessary to strip him of his captaincy? I'm not sure of this, but I heard Bridge might not even make the England squad.

This has more to do with Capello not suffering fools than Terry's improprieties. Ever since he was named England manager, he has stamped his authority all over this side. No mp3 players, no portable video games and no WAGs allowed near the squad. He will not have another one of those World Cup media circuses that followed the squad 4 years ago.

Also there is a lot of talk over here about the England captain needing to be a good representative for the entire country. Coupled with that business of allegedly taking payments for training ground tours, this just did him no favours.

Capello has proven himself to be a very strict disciplinarian and one who demands quite a bit from his players, both on and off the field.

No, he had an affair with Bridge's ex-girlfriend before she became his ex and when Terry and him were still best mates. It's not really about moral standards, as Terry is a freakin dog and everyone knows that, but the fact that he compromised team unity and cohesion for a rather trivial personal gain. If he wasn't a footballer you'd wonder why someone would do something so bafflingly stupid.

Oh, I didn't know that part. Thanks for clearing it up.

So, another horrific tackle against a Gunnar. I haven't seen a replay of the tackle as Sky refused to play one, but judging by Shawncross' reaction I don't think he was attempting to be malicious. Nonetheless, Fabregas mentioned that his team isn't protected like, say Real Madrid are in La Liga, but do incidents like this possibly justify the protection of star players or teams playing a certain style? Here is a link to a picture of Ramsey after the tackle, do not click on this link if you weren't able to stomach images of Eduardo's broken ankle.

I dunno, I didnt see the tackle, but to be injured that severely one of three things has to happen; you either put yourself into a position where you were going to get smoked by reckless abandon, the tackle was unquestionably malicious or a combination thereof.

I dont understand how they can say that they want more protection against what seemingly wasnt a malicious tackle. I mean, what kind of 'protection' are they asking for? Fat Italians with bats? Steel leg covers?

At the end of the day they can ban the offender for as long as they like, but buddy is still going to the hospital with a leg and a half.

I only watched the video once because frankly that was enough. Shawcross did not have any malicious intent there. I think its just an unlucky tackle. Ramsey got there a second before and his foot was dug in, which made the damage so terrible when Shawcross caught him.

Bridge's refusing to shake JT's hand was funny though

I have yet to see the tackle and probably never will, but this is Shawcross' 3rd incident involving tackles having already got Adebayor and Francis Jeffers. Jeffers he sidelined for a couple of months, the guy is a liability when tackling and I hope he gets 5-10 games for it. Yeah he prolly didnt mean to, but it doesn't change the fact that he was reckless.

Shawcross tackle was bad there was no need to go in to that tackle. it was late, high and studs up.

Although he might not have meant to do it it was a split second of stupidity that will cost him and could ruin a promosing youngsters career

Arsenal does need more 'protection' from things like this, but not from the FA or pitch-level officials. What they really need are some big, strong, physical central defenders and midfielders that will ensure that this team stops getting bullied on the pitch and pushed around. The likes of Tony Adams, Steve Bould, Lee Dixon, Nigel Winterburn, Martin Keown and Ray Parlour never got pushed around and were guilty of their fair share of rough play. For all of their attacking flair and ball-control abilities, this team is seriously devoid of the type of physical presence that is necessary to ensure on the field success. This all changed when Vieira left a few years back. They've never replaced his grit and physicality.

Default Owen Done.

Manchester United striker Michael Owen has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

Owen, who scored in the Wembley final, had admitted before the injury that he was a "long shot" to make Fabio Capello's World Cup squad but any hope he had of making it to South Africa now appears to have gone.

Long shot is right. Man U claimed he wasnt injury prone and thats partially why Liverpool didnt sign him.

Although, after suffering from a Hamstring tear myself, I'd feel for the guy if he werent a filthy Manc.

Well, since Owen is from Cheshire, I guess you can feel sorry for him.

It was nice to finally see Spurs come away from a game without any new injuries. It's getting ridiculous in the midfield. At least Palacios has stepped his game up. Gareth Bale has really come into his own this year.

Great to see Theo finally get on the score sheet, now for a decent run with injuries.

With Lennon out I love them using Bale on the left side of midfield

gives them the pace to get the crosses from the end line just like Lennon but from the other side

Palacios has been huge, was nice to see Modric play a solid game as a CM as well

next few games are going to be huge, need to get points before april when they play Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal in a span of like 8 days

Apparently Ian Dowie is the frontrunner for the Hull job. You would think that people would learn that Dowie is a cancer to winning.

He wont be satisfied until he gets booted from England entirely.
