Fair result even notwithstanding all the missed chances, honestly looked pretty clear to me that Salah handballed on the liverpool goal,you could pretty clearly see his hand flick when the ball came off before it went on to Richards head - moot point anyway but that felt like a "big clube" call. Anyway, now that Palace are starting in europe next week gonna be hard for them to keep up the charge at the top of the table, they just don't have as much squad depth as others, but it being conference league maybe they can get through with reserves playing a bit more. If they weren't in europe it might sound crazy to say but I genuinely think they are good enough to challenge for the top 4 this year, it's been about 9 months of sustained winning

Today was their best performance by far in all competitions. Nobody was stopping that first goal, and the match could have gone either way at the end. Great final ten minutes, end to end stuff. The way the sport should be played, two good teams going for all three points.

They really miss Trent. For all of his deficiencies in defense, what he provided for them in attack has not been replaced. And it's not like their defense looks any better without him. Wirtz struggling as much as he has contributes to missing Trent.

Mac Allister got done by a simple square ball, Konate was his usual useless self and Virgil also backed off completely. Good hit but Liverpool were begging for Caicedo to shoot.
