That stings.
Barn Burner pointed out that the D pairing on that shift that failed to rim the puck out properly with seconds left were Helleson and Trouba.

Mother f###ing Jacob Trouba.

When you miss the playoffs on a tiebreaker, every missed point is the one that could have made the difference.

People should remember this performance by Parekh and the rookies when they’re droning on about just how giant a leap it is to play in the NHL and how rookies always make tons of mistakes (ignoring vets do all the time too) and all the other weak reasoning as to why rookies shouldn’t be given a chance.

Injection of enthusiasm, forcing vets to play for jobs, giving vets a rest if injured or exhausted… tough to watch tonight and say ya makes sense we sat this guy and then went 0/6 on PP against Ducks.

Yeah, while it’s nice for the rookies, there’s a lot more room out there than the Kings usually give up. Not exactly normal conditions.

Only caveat to that, is the fact that the Kings are just trying to get through this game with no injuries, and don't really care about getting the W. Most NHL games aren't like this.

The kings cannot feel like this again in any way shape or form for a fortnight

Frankly tragic. End tied with the Blues, but with much more heart and less help.

Not the point. LA half assed it. The rookies plus Vladar and Hunt were all playing for next year roles.

Just me or should Brind'Amour be much happier for his son scoring? Was more focused on the Canes mistakes in the game.

Have a feeling that's a tough, tough dad...
