We'll see, Binnington may show up as the best goalie in this series.

Either way, I hope for OT

These last 15 playoff games are now historically bad for Hellebuyck.

Friedman saying the Jets need to build Hellybuck back up for game 7. I think they should go with Comrie, and build Hellybuck back up for game 1 of the next series.

In relief and when the games were already out of hand, Comrie has looked much calmer and definitely better positionally than Hellybuck.

The Jets need someone in goal that needs to make the saves that are expected to be made, otherwise they’ll sag and the series will be over.

That said, the Jets need to play better overall in front of either tender.

I'd go with Comrie for game 7 and back to Helle for game 1 if it gets to that.

It's not just that the jets are losing but Helle is a huge reason why they're losing.

Comrie has shown pretty good behind that jets team.

I think we are stuck with Helley in game 7. He's eating up a huge chunk of the cap, and is the franchise guy. You can't go away from him in game 7. All you can do is hope he can get one good game and get some confidence back.

I think this is probably the answer. Comrie gives you the best chance to win the next game, and for Helly sometimes you just need to pause and reset.

Apparently this is the 1st game 7 at home in Jets 1.0 or 2.0 history

Neat.

Dumbest line of thinking in pro sports.

Your backup isn't just for when your starter is injured or tired.

He's also there for when he sucks. If you don't exhaust every option to get the win then you're not really trying.

Die by the sword is really protecting the ego of whichever player it's referring to. And it's a silly reason to willingly stomach ending your season prematurely over.

Now that's not saying this applies with hellebuyck because he's banked them wins in this series.

But in cases like with Markstrom against the oilers, it was stupid to keep trotting a guy who didn't have it. It looks even worse seeing how non clutch he's been ever since.

I dont think Comrie can win the Jets a Cup. I know Helley can if he plays like regular season Helley. If you start Comrie game 7, you not only break his confidence these playoffs, you perhaps break his desire to be in Winnipeg.

None of this is wanted, or good. But you have to ride Helley and hope he just figures it out. Sucks, but here we are.

Hoping for a very quiet, sombre arena at the end of game seven.

I hope to see you similarly label all of your future posts, might as well make it official and lean into it.

Easy to say from the stands. If they wouldn't go with Hellenbuck and lose, that would potentially be a career ending decision for the coach.
