Perhaps the player who loses this match will need a stiff drink after this is done.

Three match points and couldn't cash in, then gets broken. Sigh.

Man it was uncanny up 0-40 how the two crosscourt errors were mirror images on opposite sides of the court. Very Shapo of him to try and finish the points early like that rather than let the rally play out in hopes of developing an opening or error from Rublev. Still it's a pretty good result against one of the best players in the world right now.

Leylah is playing right now. She's up break in the 1st.
Edit ^^. You beat me to it. Up two breaks? Nice.

Rybakina did to Leylah what Leylah did to Zheng yesterday (even one better). From 1-4 down, she won five straight games to take the opening set 6-4

Tough one for Leylah today, but she had a good week and showing that she should be back in the top 20 in short order if she maintains this good form. Rybakina is a heck of a player and could end up winning this tourney.

A couple of top seeds losing in Rotterdam this morning - Holger Rune lost to Alexander Shevchenko while Hubi Hurkacz lost to Tallon Griekspoor (all three sets going to tie-breaks in that match).

Milos awaits the winner of the Sinner - Monfils match. I expect it to be Sinner, but maybe the upset train will continue.

Monfils has forced a 3rd and deciding set versus Sinner. He has won Rotterdam previously in 2019 and 2020, thus this is a happy hunting ground.
Edit: Jannik Sinner closes out Gael Monfils and will take on Milos on Friday.

Milos is on court, let's see if he can give Sinner some trouble today.
Edit: Hold to love from the big man, first serve was a 233 km/hr ace (that's just a shade under 145 mph)
