So is this all a build up for a Filoni movie(s)? The TV series will end in a cliffhanger.
I really hope not. Just leave the Skywalker era alone for once, it's so overdone. A sci-fi universe with thousands of years of history and planets to choose from and we're stuck revisiting the same 6 decade timespan and retreading over the same planets over and over. Move on already

I'm going to let out the biggest groan when it happens
There had better be some finality/resolutions at the end of the season. The easiest and laziest way to write is to be in perpetual set up mode for the next thing.

Naw man, you havent had a 'Skywalker Era' until you've had an over-cooked Luuke from Mount Tantiss!

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

From what I've read, it sounds like the Filoni movie will be the culmination of the Ahsoka/Mando/Book of Boba Fett stories and will ultimately tie into the events leading up to the Force Awakens.
So yes, Ahsoka will likely end on a cliffhanger.

But... does that mean it will follow bobf/Mando 3/ahsoka, or bobf 2/Mando 4/ahsoka 2?
Because I think they should take their time to build this thing to a feature film. We only just got live action Thrawn. We havent had enough to build up hate for this guy a la Thanos. Let him wreak havoc in the main galaxy for a season of each show to build excitement in the fanbase and put butts in seats for the movie.

Yup. From what I've heard and read it will be the follow-up to the final seasons of Ahsoka and Mando, whatever those may be. It sounds like Ahsoka will very likely get a second season, and Mando is most certainly headed for a 4th, so it'll probably be at least a couple of years before Filoni's movie happens.
Considering what a bitch Snoke went out as that would be pretty underwhelming... and I don't see how that would "end the cycle of violence" like Skoll is saying.

The 'Space Magic' element of this show is poised to get right out of hand as it is. Thrawn is at least interesting because he has to stand on his own, but man, we've got a keep a lid on the 'Space Magic.'
You've already got the World Between Worlds, Jedis popping up left, right and center, Inquisitors, Flying Whales, Extra-Galactic Space Witches....like...keep it to a reasonable volume please.

I wonder if Ahsoka's real destiny is to deal with this power Baylan is talking about.
I know some people are speculating that it might be some version of Abeloth from Legends.
Well it does link to the father, son and daughter. But I don't think I'd want it to be Ashoka beating her. I mean in the books it took the whole Jedi Order, Luke and the Future Sith Emperor of the Galaxy to beat her.

The 6 pillars around the central temple. Is it designed to keep something in or something out?
Baylon indicated that the world was once vibrant, now its a dead world, and weirdly there was no background noise when Sabine was riding around it was very muted and there is no vegetation, it was almost like Nathama in SWTOR a former lush world that was literally sucked dry by Vitiate the eternal Sith Emperor.
The Storm Troopers with the night sisters red ribbons, and their cracked and dirty armor. Are they revived troopers that were killed during Thrawns fight for survival.
Ezra telling Sabine that they don't stay in one place for very long.
The Stormtroopers kind of move like Merrick the inquisitor.
What's in the casket?
The tower they're in, the writing reminds me of the writing we saw in the Clone Wars episode with the father son and daughter.
Thrawn has an arrangement with the mothers who are desperate to leave the world. What are they fleeing.
The dead and blasted Purgils in orbit, what killed them?
Signs point to a super powerful force identity.
What if Thrawn got there, made a deal with whatever this thing is that everyone is so scared of, and that's why most of his crew died and the Chimera is in the shape it is.
Clearly Thrawn has made a deal with the devil in the witches to get off of the world, and they're in somewhat of a hurry.
Either something is in the catacombs, or its something being held outside of the towers. That sucked the life out of the world.
So it could be Abeloth, the Father, Son and Daughter, in legends (which has a basis in current Disney lore) were terrified of her, she started as a servant, became mother, then when she realized she was mortal bathed in the font of power and pool of knowledge and became corrupted, immortal, evil, sad and lonely and craving power. Could have been locked in this prison and escaped and drained the world and is now trying to find her way back to the Star Wars Galaxy.
They could go wild and make it Vitiate, which I doubt, but an immortal god Sith that even Thrawn is frightened of.
They could do a mirror image of the Bendu from Rebels, not a creature of light and dark, but a monster of pure dark.
Weird out there theory. What if Ezra, isn't Ezra? What if Sabine is being fooled. Ezra is dead and this thing has taken his form.
