Yep. Now the Avs are sweating. Fun series.

Suddenly the mighty Avs are looking very beatable. Vegas has outplayed them in each of the last 3 games. I hate the Knights, but it looks like they're well on their way to taking the series.

He doesn't look the same to me, I suspect he has an injury.

what a fast well played hockey game.
After watching the Jets/Habs skating in gravel it would was hard to believe how fast and skillful the Avs/Knights game was played.
the basic puck handling and receiving passes was at a completely different level.
You wonder if the Habs would be able to slow either of these teams down.. They made the Leafs look pretty ordinary.
How much does one player have an impact on the whole team? -- Pacioretty in for Vegas and Tavares Schiefele out for the Leafs and Jets.

He's always smirking and grinning in scrums. Fake tough guy. Good player though.

it's interesting. McDavid, Matthews, Crosby, Ovechkin all out.
Kind of reinforces how hockey is the ultimate team game.

Is it me or is the ice pretty respectable in T-Mobile arena considering it's 40 degrees outside? Seems like more bouncing pucks in the Saddledome in the middle of winter.

I thought that during the game. Two fast skating teams with zero problems passing the puck in 41% heat outside. The Dome ice is a disgrace.

I thought the CBC panel commented on how much extra snow there was?

I've always heard the problem is humidity more than temperature. Humidity isn't a problem in Vegas (although, it shouldn't be a problem in Calgary either).

Do people outside of calgary talk about the Saddledome having some of the worst ice in the league?

They did. Ice was not great per se, but for the middle of the desert and literally well over 100F outdoors...it was in remarkable shape.
I read something from their first year in the PO IIRC that (paraphrased) said they had someone watching/working the ice plant controls 24/7 and the electric bill was over 2 grand a day to pull it all off.
The one advantage they have over a place like Tampa is no humidity to deal with.

I think it still does well in the players poll they put out every year.
In 2017-18, it was tied with Minnesota for 4th-best ice in the league: https://nhlpa.com/player-poll/2017-18
The last two seasons (doesn't look like they did one this year), T-Mobile has moved into the top-5, but I'd guess the Saddledome is still pretty high since the rest of the top arenas are the same as 2017-18.

I'm surprised even in 2018 the Dome ice has been rated that high. It seems to me like it's been getting worse year over year post-flood.

No, in fact the dome ice is good compared to most rinks. People on here just like to hate on everything Flames.
CP says the ice is terrible...players who are actually on the ice think it's good.

It always looks bad to me. Bouncing pucks, passes that slow way too much, etc. For both teams.
