I'm impressed how the Flames emotionally engaged and settled down that period. I thought we were headed for another debacle.

Is Stone available? Is he on the taxi squad? Not at all suggesting that he's the issue, but Valamaki can take a powder for a few games and bulk up or something. He is easily separated from the puck.

Even if Valimaki took steroids he'd need 1-3 months to bulk up.

Playing the best team in the division pretty close. I’m good with them so far.
I think Keefe has really been trying to keep Matthews and Marner out against Monahan and Gaudreau, so they’ve had their hands full. Keeps them off the ice more, too because Sutter gets them off asap.

Pretty sloppy game so far, but the Flames are hanging in there and didn't fold up the tent like they did against Edmonton the other night. Some really good push back from the guys in the 2nd half of that period, which is good to see. Hopefully they can close this out.

He's playing for the Heat right now and, let me tell you, he was the slowest guy on the ice last night.
He's played one game in the last year and it shows right now.

Yeah, thanks doc. I meant he could see how to use some beef to cover better. Also, his decisions are really questionable (not just the bobble in the first). Him, Nesterov and Kyllington are all in need of some press time every once in a while.

Do not understand why the Gaudreau/Monahan/Ritchie line has gotten such a long leash.
It's been horrible.
