I don't think he did. I remember him being caught out of position, leaving a wide open net, only to have opposing players fan or completely miss on multiple tap ins. Talbot was pretty good, but he wasn't great.

He was okay, he blew game six when his team dominated. Markstroms team was badly outplayed but he beat the defending champs.

My guess is there's another big name UFA close to signing and the Flames need to make sure the cap hit of both contracts makes sense numbers wise.

Which hints at Hall, but who knows?

I am not concerned about an NMC, because we have no other good goalie options for the foreseeable future anyway.

And not overly concerned about a 6th year, though 5 would obviously be better.

Just want to see it under $6M.

Guessing 6 x $5.333M with an NTC.

This is starting to feel like that boxing match where the judges seem to be taking a long time to come to a decision.

We weren't "badly outplayed" as a team until the Vegas series. When Ryan O'Reilly was on the ice we were outplayed, but other than it was even.

Would be a nice completion to the FU to the circus up the road.

Goaltending was the difference in the series

Based on everything that has been reported it sounds like Hall is listening to offers today, but won't be expected to sign anything until at least tomorrow.

Only game I watched live was Calgary At Vancouver in February/March.

It might not be considered badley outplayed but its outplayed.

Ahem, the FU is not completed until news leaks out that both Markstrom and Hall turned down better offers from the Oilers to sign with the Flames.

Yes, better to overpay for a mediocre 33 year old goalie

Bet it is closer to 7M, if not smack dab at 7M. Which is why there's a delay, a Hall deal is gonna eat most of the Flames' remaining cap. But we'll see.
