I’ve defended Ward in the past and I really don’t think he’s the biggest problem with the team but man am I ever getting sick of the line blender.

Monahan and Gaudreau hoverimg around 16%

You basically broke up one of the lines that was going and put a player who was comfortable centering it onto the wing of a line that's getting ####kicked.

I want lines that work, not lipservice usage. Whether or not Bennett's earned a spot in the top 6, he's doing well down the middle. Moving him back to RW is asinine.

Completely different players on completely different lines. Mangiapane is a sniper. Bennett is a center. And Backlund is a much easier center to play with than Monahan.

I actually don’t disagree that Bennett is better as a C. I just was making a joke. I do not think he needs to be between Lindholm and Mangiapane though, I think that combo doesn’t work at all.

To each their own but if their excuse as well as ours is "they're the best team in the NHL so it's okay", then us fans care just as little as they do about their success.

I'd take a look at something like Dube-Bennett-Ryan for the 3rd line. Top line needs Lindholm to carry the load defensively and the 2nd has been hot, and Lucic has been pretty bad tonight.
