Yeah, he had to ####can his first choice for being a racist who assaulted his players.

Then maybe he should've fired him in February...

i think tuning out GG is horse#### fyi.

That team was bereft of talent which is why the flames brought in a wheelbarrow worth of new forwards that offseason and miraculously improved their scoring dramatically. Blaming the coach was a very convenient way out of being afraid the team wouldn't score enough goals and then finishing 27th in goals for or whatever. Ya, probably the coach.

It's always some excuse.

Like maybe re-signing backlund to be a 32 year old 34 point pace player at five and a half million bucks wasn't a good idea. I dunno.

Gusev for a 2nd and a 3rd or Lazar and stone for a 2nd 3rd and 5th.

Anyway, it's 40+ game this season and the flames stink and it's treliving's 6th year as GM and they look like they are getting worse.

There's always some excuse for why the Flames can't be good and ultimately they are all weak.

Bennett is hitting guys in a 4-1 game though hey, what more can you ask for?

Rittich is surprised every time he stops the puck.

I don't know what we're arguing about. Your argument just furthers my thesis that this gm has done jack to fix goaltending. So instead of getting a tandem, they got a sitter, watcher, waiter....

Exactly. If Treliving had already made up his mind about Gulutzan's future by February, why not make a change to see if it sparks the team?

Look how the Flames responded when Ward came in, they went on a big long win streak. What if Tre brings in Huska as the HC in Feb 2018 when the Flames were still within range of a playoff spot but hardly playing consistent or inspired hockey?

Instead, he decided to bring in Nick Shore for a 7th and claim Chris Stewart on waivers, two guys who scored two total goals, both in blowout losses. And the Flames started losing basically every game they played.

This is coming from someone who really likes Treliving, but his midseason maneuvering needs work.

At least the Heat looked good tonight. That MacLean. He can coach.

Rinaldo hasn't gotten a shift since the half way point of the 2nd period.

Nice to see Bennett making an impact. If he could not wait till the game is out of reach to get moving, he might even help this team.

I've only been able to watch the last half period of play. Came on to see if there was still a hate-on for Bennett, as he has been the Flames best player in the time that I've been watching.

Bennett is the only player on the roster that knows how to play with emotion.

We need more of that. Absolutely not less of it. He should #%^*ing be rewarded for showing up in the playoffs when no one else did.

Lindholm also has an edge, so slap those two together and toss Johnny on the other wing.

Monahan and Gaudreau should not be on a line together, unless it's a PP. Is this not obvious?

Not unusual, the 'Hawks don't really play a physical game.

Agreed

Flames need talented players who also play with emotion
It seems like we either have players with either talent and low give a crap meters or guys who give a crap but lack talent
Gio, Tkachuk and Lindholm aside
And Andersson

Take out the 2 #### goals from Rittich and this is a different game, nevermind the mental block this team has when playing from behind this year.

I'd give the effort a lot more applause if it came at the start of the 1st period.

It's like watching the 3rd string qb come in and move the ball in garbage time.

I want Bennett to play to this level from puck drop, in every game. Let's hope this is a start of a trend for the kid and not just another flash in the pan, as has been the case his entire frigin career.

Johnny’s missed chance was also a potential turning point
And that’s not bad luck or great goaltending
That’s a guy not bearing down
