Lol, anyone notice Lindholm erase McDonagh at the blue line way behind the play there?

So both teams slapped eachother around for a period each and now we head into the final 20 wondering who comes out with the final blow?

What a season so far

The 1st half of the period, sure. But I thought the Flames held their own in the 2nd half, not to mention killing off all those Tampa PPs.

CGY got a taste of TBL pressure game and were not on their toes. Great PK should give them some momentum. Just need to be sharp, make smart, fast plays with puck in defensive zone and exit clean. Can learn from that period.

Get back to attack play them hard. Playing great - go get it!

most teams would have totally caved after giving up two to the Lightning and then 3 PP's

Flames still even heading into the third

This is a fun game. The first was great as it looked like the Flames were gonna make a statement but Tampa is a tough team to handle when they turn it up. On the edge of my seat here. Flames just have to win one period.

Well that would be ideal but that isn't how reffing works in the NHL

Top line was pretty invisible that period. Tampa made an adjustment. Flames have to adjust back.

Both teams have looked really good and not so good through stretches in this game. A very evenly played contest so far.

Scoring chances are probably even in the game and one team had three straight power plays

Did Maclean say the Flames’ last drafted goalie was Trevor Kidd? That’s not true. Leland Irving, Brent Krahn, etc.

Pretty sure he was referring to a guy who turned into a starter and/or played on a regular basis in the NHL.

im guessing he meant the last drafted goalie that became a legit starter for them was Kidd...that is pretty sad.

Last one to actually stick in the league for a while is what he meant

Exactly. Each team won a period, shots are pretty even and the score is tied - nothing to complain about as a Flames fan.

Go Flames Go!

Tampa is a first place team for a reason.

That the Flames can hold their own, and at times dominates, bodes well.
