Yeah I meant to say it does wash out a minor on the double, but for some reason had it in my head that penalties where it’s not just two penalties (like the extra high sticking for blood, or two separate penalties in the same play) and giving a double minor for severity (like boarding or something) they might keep the full 4, but that could be wrong.
That type of play is likely an ejection in today’s game anyways. Not many 4 min boards or roughs anymore.

I know everyone says it but intermission player interviews really are pointless. It's buzzword-bingo. Players don't even have to think; interviewers ask the same questions, and the players give scripted answers.

Great story on the London Knights. By far the best junior hockey organization in the nation.

Good god, missed the first two periods and came straight to CP. Nothing but complaining about Ryan and the PP. Thought they were down by 3 lol

Didnt mind that one at all but some of the hometown hockey intermissions are positively cringe worthy. Generally prefer some league reports or period play analysis.

I have definitely debated Oilers fans over whether Gaudreau is better than Draisaitl. (He is.)

Yeah, I’d scrap them all together.
If we could get an After Hours style interview after every game with a player that’d be amazing. That’s how you grow the personality of the league. I love After Hours.

Every game people talk about who had the most ice time, whether Hanifin or Brodie or Andersson.
Usually, it's the guy who had the longest shifts in their own zone, not the guy who had the most shifts.
I love Brodie but he's had it tough this game (though it's unfair to pin everything on him, the team's been bad on a whole for much of it).

Just caught the end of that period, they looked great. I love when they skate and forecheck, fun to watch. More of the same in the 3rd please.

Hometown hockey is so lame. I get what Sportsnet is trying to do stirring patriotism and giving us a taste of Canadiana but their execution is cringe worthy.

The play by Jankowski on the Hathaway goal was awesome. Great patience. Hope the coach appreciates it as well and keeps him in.

Hometown hockey is brutal. I couldn't care less about a random 16 year old minor hockey players insight on the type of player they are or their favorite NHL player. Or why they chose a certain player as a star. Give me league analysis or talk about the flames game.

Hoping Bennett and Neal can connect for something here in the 3rd. Another solid night for them.

It's basically Ron McLean in program form. Cringeworthy faux Canadiana.

Some hustle by Johnny on the backcheck.
I wonder if the coach gave them some feedback on their defensive game

I feel more confident with Rittich than I do Smith, too bad, I like Smitty but Rittich just seems to make more timely saves.

Johnny is literally so good, the NHL is going to have to figure out how to give him assists on his goals too.
