Nobody is saying CP should be Flames only...but if you come here as a Jets fan and say you prefer the Oilers to the Flames you should expect a little backlash...I'm wondering if you post frequently on many sites? Just seems odd is all.

I really don't care, and I certainly didn't say this place should be a Flames echo chamber, so I certainly hope that comment wasn't directed at me.

Does it matter? Who cares what I think. I don't go in Flames threads and troll isn't that what matters?

If you prefer the Oilers to the Flames I will call you out on your ####ty choice of teams
Curious why you picked CP if Oiler fans are so nice to you.. because it's awesome? Fair enough
This is why I want the Caps to win the cup though..no braggin' on CP.
Truth is none of this "matters" it only game

Just want to make it known I was not attacking White Out, just explaining that campaigning for more Jets support on a Flames forum while admitting he would rather cheer for the Oilers in the playoffs is a bit odd. I have nothing against non-Flames fans posting in this forum as I believe it allows for more colourful discussions and helps separate this forum from other cess pool forums on the internet. My apologies if it seemed like that’s what I was doing.

I have often wondered why more Flames fans don't support the Jets but it was a comment on the previous page that maybe clued me in. It is because we want the Flames to be the first Canadian team to win the Cup in xx many years? I get that.
Although maybe because I don't live in Calgary anymore, I am happily cheering for the Jets. Representing a city from the Canadian prairies does it for me. It has been a very long time since the Jets were any kind of rival for the Flames.

I've been a Flames fan for too long to actually believe they will end the Canadian drought. It was stolen from us in 2004 and that was our only run in the past 30 years. Wow, so dreadful when you think about it.

Picked CP because I've lived in Calgary for quite a while.

Who cares why he’s here? Maybe this Barbara Walters opening up session can help him not be so salty when getting his chops busted after a Jets loss. Poor kid catches a hard time around here, he just wants to discuss his favourite team with a bunch of people who don’t like them. Is that too much to ask?

Don't let a few bother you. Calgary is a nice place to live so its easy to understand why you live here. Lots of folks in Calgary are cheering for the Jets. You only have to leave your keyboard and actually go to a sports bar to watch a game to figure that out.

Oh yeah, no doubt. At my work, through out the city, most people are actually really supportive and cool about it. I realize that some of the internet warriors on here are psychopaths like me who are true fanatics and hate the Jets for 2 main reasons 1) they're old enough to remember the 80's playoffs and 2) like me, want their own team to bring the cup back to Canada.
It's just really tiresome to read crap like above putting words in my mouth.

I was told I was being 'salty after losses' here. I find that to be bs.

No one should try and censor what a poster posts, that’s what the mods are for. All I was saying was I was a little thrown back by your confusion on why other Canadian fans might not be cheering for the Jets along with your admission that you cheer against the flames in the playoffs before you cheer against the Oilers. I see you’re a long time poster and you live in Calgary so I don’t think you are a troll, just a passionate Jets fan and there’s nothing wrong with that. Just don’t expect to get flattering responses when you admit you have Oilers>Flames and confused on why the Jets don’t get love from the rest of Canada.

You are being salty right now
come on guy...You are a Jets fan on a Flames message board saying you like the Oilers better than the Flames. Kinda asking for it...and I don't think anyone has said anything too harsh. Saying the Flames are better than the Oilers would likely get you banned from elsewhere...Christ Flames fans got warnings and bans for thanking posts on the site I shall not speak of.

I'm cheering for the Knights and the Jets. I'm a fan of good hockey more than anything else. I wouldn't be butthurt one bit if one of them won the cup.

I don’t know. Crap like that is nowhere near my radar.
I like Fleury, he knows Jets fans like him too, and can do a cartwheel in his gear. Oh yeah, also a hell of a goalie and obviously a great teammate.
I like Engelland, he was a good character guy here, and fought 2 Canucks. I met him, he is awesome. Also, very underrated player. You see his compete, getting sticks in the way in the home plate area and how he fights for space in the crease? See what happened to the Flames when he left?
Both of these guys play for Vegas but sure are Canadian.
Other guys on Vegas with good stories, but those are my favourites.
If they win, I am good. I like them more than some other city just because it’s in Canada. I know they have Canadian players too. All teams do.
Having said that, if the Jets go on, I like them over TB and Was.

Makes you wonder why the Olympic team in 2010 didn't make him the starter and not choose him in 2014?

I was surprised to see Game 2 wasn’t a sellout. Ticket prices must have been crazy, maybe some fans would rather party in the street with other fans and save their cash.
