I actually like that call. It looked like an accident but at the end of the day, Nurse dislodged the net during play and I think that should be a penalty. Especially since it happened with the puck loose in the zone and a possible scoring chance negated because he knocked the net off.

If Gaudreau though he took a cheapshot, then good on him to respond. I like it, especially in a nothing tournament

A slash to the back?
It's what cowards do.
And if any player thought this was a "nothing tournament", they certainly wouldn't be here.
Johnny has a lot of growing up to do.

That line needs more ice time, sick of seeing RNH and Eberle out there

At the mid-way point of this game, I cannot say that I have been overwhelmed by the performance of McNeckBeard. For all the attention he has received for being the best player in this tournament he sure as hell has not been the best player in this particular game. Canada's secondary players are carrying the mail for the team right now.
*EDIT* Wow. 2-1.

Ugh...gross. Outside of the Horvat line, Canada is not looking very good in this game. McDavid invisible in another meaningful game. What a shocker.

Another international tournament, another piss poor game for Canada against a well-coached, structured Swiss team.

The Barzal line has been good, but no question regarding the performance of the McInvisible.

Full credit to the Swiss, as they're playing a perfect defensive game. Canada having a tough time getting anything to the net.

McDavid just needs to start shooting the puck and doing some things himself instead of trying to be Mr. Playmaker. Did anyone tell him this is larger ice?

He has largely been terrible. All he does is gather the puck at his own blueline, wind up his speed and go full bore to the net and then gently deposit the puck right at the goaltender's chest.
Completely useless.
Granted, Bill Peters is doing the best he can with this lineup of suck. Far too much Oiler.

Taking a while to get to 5000

If this is how Peters handles the Flames most of us will be happy. Lines aren't working? Change em up. Line is working? Get em out there often, sit another line. Also seems to hate Eberle.
