So I've watched this like 6 times now and it is still just as good. I could probably use a bit of a break though. I few things I've now noticed after repeat viewings:
-I just realised that Scarlett Witch got her powers from the mind stone which is why she can destroy it. All of a sudden the connection with Vision makes a lot more sense.
-That said I still don't think Bettany and Olsen have great on screen chemistry. The scene with Stark and Potts is so much better since their relationship has been developing throughout the MCU and they feel like an authentic couple.
-I love all the detail they put into Thanos' powers with the appropriate stones lighting up depending on what he is doing.
-During the "plan" scene on Titan if you look carefully you can see Strange in the background doing his time stone thing. Such great details.
-Doctor Strange's line about Parker being Stark's ward cracked me up. Iron Man and Spider-Man are pretty much the Batman and Robin of the MCU.
-Steve Rodgers does next to nothing in this movie but it is nice they gave him the last line of dialog.
-Gamora has to be alive but is trapped in the soul stone which is why Thanos could talk to her at the end.

I just didn't like Vision overall, so when Thanos ripped the stone out of his head killing him I did an in theatre fist pump.
Here's hoping he stays dead.
I hate that dude.

Which sort of makes sense in the MCU, since they had the mind stone (in Loki's staff) when they were doing experiments on her. It also meshes with what she did in Age of Ultron in terms of messing with peoples' minds.
However, as far as the comic book version goes, her powers are supposed to be about changing reality, so it'd make more sense that her powers come from the Aether, and based on the visual appearance of what she does and what the Aether looks like in Thor 2, there's a resemblance there (as opposed to Vision's yellow forehead lasers). Also, her mind-F stuff that she did in Ultron would also translate to altering someone's subjective sense of reality. And you could as easily say that she can destroy an infinity stone because her powers mirror that of an infinity stone, even if it's not the same stone as the one she's trying to destroy.
So... maybe?

See Corsi's post above, he has Thor after BP even though it came out before, which is the preferred viewing order for those two movies. Not a ton of shuffling and nothing as stupid as the Star Wars thing where people watch the prequels in the middle of the original trilogy, but a couple of moves may make it a more seamless viewing experience.

This is the order to watch them in for timeline purposes.

Age of ultron doesn’t really add much to the story arch but it, along with Ragnarock really do help explain what is going on with the Hulk in infinity war.

Watched it for the first time since in theatres. Gets an 11/10 even on the 3rd viewing. It was awesome to watch with someone who hadn’t had it spoiled and was totally blown away by the ending. I could watch this movie 100 times and never get tired of it. Virtually flawless.

Watching it in the theatres was really a fun experience. People were clearly upset by some of the outcomes, and the kids in the audience were downright traumatized.

Lol. I think I’ll describe it however I want. It’s borderline perfect. A masterpiece. Makes citizen Kane look like dog ####. Shawshank wishes it had as much heart.

Just as The Room is considered the Citizen Kane of bad movies. I would consider Infinity War the The Room of good movies.

....so confusing....it's the worst good movie? It's the best of the lowest sub-category of good movies?

Has anyone even called the movie bad?
Edit: Oling_Roachinen might have...I still can't figure it out.

I sure somebody has been on here saying;
They should have read the 13 specific comics from 1988, made these six changes to that exact story, before adding this character, and killing these 3 people instead of those 3 people. Then possibly they could have relaxed and enjoyed themselves.
But I'm sure the rest us can enjoy this for what it is, the most ambitious film I have ever seen, that succeeds on almost every level leaving us itching for the next chapter.

Nope. You're objectively and subjectively wrong.
