great day for Citeh.

- their biggest talent leaves them for Dortmund because they don't give chances to youngsters
- they don't get Alexis because Arsenal couldn't get a replacement
- they don't get Evans because they can't convince Mangala to join Crystal Palace
- they are still stuck with Delph because they can't convince him to join Stoke

Lol, what's next? Teams will pound West Ham 4-0 and think they're going to run the table?

I can't believe they are going to have that in the room all year and then lose him for free next summer? Unreal.

Dont forget about the next Window. Crazy money has historically been spent.

I keep going back and forth on this. Cashing in this summer would have been smart from a financial point of view, plus him (maybe) pouting for a year is a risk. On the other hand, a pouting Alexis is still their best player by a mile, and selling to a PL rival would have been a horrific message IMO.

Yeah but watching him smirk and laugh while they got done 4-0 has to be bad for the room. I mean selling him to City wouldn't have been good, of course, but keeping him might not be either. Don't get me wrong though...I hope they're damned either way!

Did you see the 7-1 beat-down or is there a different reason for the sigh?

Mainly, I'm frustrated over the lack of players being brought in today. I heard about the U23s (and how West Ham apparently had four PKs in that game!) so I suppose sigh x2.

There's still room for you to support Spurs!

add Ross Barkley to the list.

Chelsea £30m deal for Ross Barkley collapses after he changes his mind during the medical and decides to go back to Everton

Can you imagine him having the medical and all of a sudden saying "nah, #### that"? Hilarious stuff.

That.....thats pretty nuts...

I'd more likely believe that he failed the medical than changed his mind halfway through, I'd have asked the Doc to do me a solid, but even then, going back to Everton after that? Good luck.....they're going to eat him alive.

I suppose you are intimating that he was hoping it wasnt you feeling him but rather Eva Carneiro?

Why do you think Chelsea went off the rails when Jose fired her? Not a coincidence.

Austrian defender Aleksandar Dragovic has joined Leicester on loan. Great move IMO, Leverkusen has simply not been a good fit for him.

I actually respect Carneiro for being focused on caring for a player while Mourinho was concerned about Game Management, so I'm leaving it here.

I think Arsenal could finish lower than 7th. The atmosphere is toxic. Never seen anything like it or even close to it in my life.

I also think Spurs are the Club most likely to drop out of the top 4 this season. In fact I think I may check out the odds to see if it is worth putting my money where my mouth is.

The reason I think this is they will come nowhere near their record at WHL this season whilst playing at Wembley.

Anfield HQ#@AnfieldHQ

Southampton were aware that Liverpool would have paid £70 million for Van Dijk and still chose to stand firm. (Paul Joyce)

Will be interesting to see how they manage bringing Van Dijk back into the squad. His stance about wanting to leave was very public, and that is a pretty massive offer.
