When you consider how hard we have to play against the refs, we have a fricken great record.

Could we see the Gaudreau to McDavid penalty shot sequence? Cuz I think this one was way more clear cut than that.

The Wideman effect out in full force. Beautiful clear spring evening, can see is clearly from the Saddledome.

Brodie is having a really strong game. Some really good quick stick plays on that last shift.

I would have forgiven the penalty shot non call if the Flames scored on the PP but since they didn't I'm still angry. What a joke NHL reffing is. That was as clear cut a definition of a penalty shot as you can get.

Benching Wideman clearly wasn't enough, we're going to have to melt him in molten steel like the Terminator before the refs are satisfied.

Does anyone still doubt the Wideman effect at this point?

Exactly. In case people dont know, you can see little black squares on the top of the class on the sideboards in the four corners of the rink. Those are microphones that pick up crowd and on-ice stuff. There are also mics that hang down from the ceiling. The audio mixer decides how much you hear

And calling a penalty shot isn't a spur of the moment decision either, he has the entire time his arm was in the air to think about what he was going to call. Mistakes in the heat of the moment? Ok, maybe. But that's so blatantly intentionally wrong.

Was very pleased with the composure Gaudreau showed when discussing the crap non penalty shot call with the ref.
Maturing well, Mr. Gaudreau
