[GT] Flames Vs Preds! Playoff Hunt!

It was more interesting (but only barely) listening to my wife and a girlfriend talking over the PbP - and they weren't even discussing anything fun. This has been one frustrating, boring, train wreck of a game. No finish at all for the Flames. Lots of half-assed shots, nothing going on out there. Bag skate time.

Gee, I'm glad they sat Bennett so he could learn something....

I said depth. We have Backlund and Monahan and only one good defensive Center in the top 9.

No, its a team that is still building. They have a bunch of players who will be great and are young. Tell me any other team wouldn't like Hamilton, Brodie, Gaudreau, Monahan, Tkachuk, Backlund and, yes, Bennett. They would like vets like Gio, Frolik and Brouwer. The Chiassons and Vertseegs and Kevins are interim pieces. They need more pieces, but it's not like it's a fully assembled team yet.

Don't think he's that kind of coach. He's more of the "do nothing, make safe plays and try to lose by the fewest number of goals possible" type coach.

His system is so passive and soft all over the ice. Hockey is an uptempo game where the team that pushes the play tends to win more than they lose...and not Hartly run and gun, a real puck pressure team oriented aggressive system.

I understand that sometimes star players have bad seasons, but when the majority of your best players are having bad years (all but Hamilton, Backlunch and Frolik), then some blame needs to fall on the coach.

I curse the day we didn't even bother to call Boudreau.

This. He took a bad team with anchors and is being patient. What superstars has he missed out on? Lucic? Has his drafting been terrible?
