No, if anything the benchings are saving us goals against. The last sequence he didn't recognize that the d-man was pinching and he tried to go down low in the slot for an offensive chance, completely negating his responsibility to circle back and defend. This leads directly to a 3 on 1 where the Stars hit the post.
Bennett is totally shirking his responsibilities right now. Kid needs to smarten up.
