Gators got all kinds of cheap towards the end of that game.

Also, #### penn state. And not just because their old coach was cool with his friend raping kids. I've just never liked them. Maybe that's why I'd rather see pretty much anyone else make the playoff.

Yeah i am no PSU fan either and actually only like Wisconsin when it comes to Big 10 teams.

That being said if PSU wins the big 10 championship but get left out over OSU...then the entire playoff format is a giant and epic fail IMO.

Just go back to the polls/rankings.

Tranny I was actually thinking today when they were talking about it that. As much is I want Ohio State to make it because I genuinely think they are one of the best 4 teams it really does make me question what the purpose of having conference championships are if they don't mean anything.

One of the great things about the regular season in college football is that every game is monumental and if the committee is now going to basically throw that out and just say that having one loss is more important than winning your conference but having two losses, then I genuinely do have to question the whole system.

Yeah, that's true. The conference championships seem like the big loser this year. And not only the championship game itself, but the whole thought that winning your conference matters.

Also, I'd normally be cheering hard for Virginia Tech tonight, but instead I'm cheering for Clemson as a Tech win would just mean the ACC is shut out of the playoffs.

Penn state with 21 unanswered to make a game of it. Tied now.

Clemson looks to be in control.

the conference championship means something but it doesn't mean 'everything'. There will be some years where the team not winning the championship is better.

This is now the 1st time out of 3 years. Let's see how it goes in subsequent years without the talking heads going crazy about it.

In a 4 team playoff you're trying to solve a lot of issues. You're trying to solve teams not scheduling Cheeseball State too much and still make the conference championship important. There is an argument that Washington's schedule is way too weak. There is a case to be made for Wisconsin over Washington.

Honestly I might rank all 4 B10 teams ahead of Washington.

What exactly is impressive about this game? Wisconsin fumbling the ball all over the place and having absolutely no secondary? Or Penn State falling down by 21 points in the first half?

It's been a fun game but this has been so sloppy and is usually the type of game that makes people think less of the teams. But with all the Big 10 hype its just confirmation bias that they're all amazing teams. If either of these teams made the playoffs and played like this the game would be over at half time.

Your post doesn't make any sense, I didn't mention the Big Ten championship game being the reason for me thinking that the Big Ten teams are better than Washington. I have no idea why you came to that conclusion. I responded to girly saying she'd possibly rank Wisc ahead of Wash by saying I'd include Mich and Penn State as being ahead.

Which honestly based on the current rankings isn't that crazy of an idea. Michigan is currently only one spot behind, Wisconsin two spots and Penn State three spots. Acting like questioning the rankings of teams four, five, six and seven is some wild miscalculation seems pretty silly.

Nittany Lions appear to win on a 4th down stop.

Aren't we all watching the Big Ten Championship game though? Maybe you think that going into this week, but you watch Washington blow out #8 and then watch a sloppy Big Ten Championship where both teams show some major flaws and still want to rank them ahead.

Gotta think the 4 playoff teams stay with Bama, Washington, Ohio State, and Clemson
