PK has a very BIG personality, take it or leave it, I don't think it sat well in the dressing room. He is way over rated! I would take Brodie over him in a heart beat. This will add some life to Shea as well. I think the winner is Montreal. Not sure how the 2 big heads of Ellis and PK will fit in a room.

I think both teams will be better next year.
Nashville is the perfect place for Subban, where his high-risk style will be covered by their best-in-the-league defense, and at the same time, will add some life to a rather pedestrian offence.
Weber will solidify Montreal's backend and make them much tougher to play against. His cannon will replace Subban on the PP, and his physicality will be a weapon in the mostly-passive Atlantic division.
With Shaw and Weber, the Habs will be a different looking team, and should easily make the playoffs.

Weber will change the whole scheme of Montreal. He is tough and nasty as hell and still outscores PK. I think Montreal wins this right now. I understand how people love PK with his exciting style etc., but Weber just calms down things on the ice, I think Weber is the closest thing Montreal has had to Larry Robinson and the fans are going to love him.

Subban, the only real offensive driver of the team was holding them back. And Ellis and Subban can't for both their heads in the room. Hilarious stuff

That's the other things about PK, from game 83 and beyond he is money. The higher the stakes, the better PK is

General Fanager confirms that the Pred won't honour Subban's NMC. Great deal gets even greater.

#CapFriendly has confirmed that the Nashville #Predators will NOT honor P.K. Subban's NMC, which was set to kick in as of midnight tonight.

I'm not sure what that means.
Does it mean that they're trading him again before midnight, or are they just putting everyone on notice that as far as they're concerned they don't have to abide by the NMC if they want to trade him in the future?

Yes to the bold
His NMC has effectively been wiped out.

That's interesting. I had recalled some debate in the past about whether that would be possible. Seems like a kick in the balls to the player who negotiated the clause and presumably paid for it.

Do teams have that option to strip the NMC from the contract of a player they just acquired?

I believe only if the NMC hasn't come into effect yet

That's my understanding as well. It happened to Myers too. He was traded to the Jets before his NMC kicked in and the Jets wiped it out.

Seriously??? I can't imagine that the PA ever let that one into the CBA.

If any trade called for Dangle's particular brand of indignation, this one's it.

Why would the PA allow that to be in the CBA? What an oversight. If I was PK, I would be choked.

Having now looked at the provision it's really clearly spelled out. I doubt it was an oversight, they can't have missed it given the clear language.
