What garbage defending, and of course Costa scores.

Damn, would've been sweet to see Payet score there.

Yeah that should have easily been a second yellow there on Costa.

Late tackle, studs are up, and not only makes contact with his studs on one leg but also rolls over the ankle of the other leg.

As the ref walked up it looked like for sure that was going to be a yellow - wonder if he second guessed when he realized it was going to be a sending off.

Of course he did. It's how it goes, refs become more lenient when deciding on what to do with fouls committed by already booked players. Unless it's 100% obvious, they'll be cautious which is too bad.

After seeing the typical favorites for the title over the weekend, only one winner seemed convincing.

No doubt. Hull is obviously winning the league, glad I got down when they were 2500-1.

You don't think Spurs will match last year's "Fails spectacularly at the end" levels?

this was an awesome weekend for me as a PL fan. Up until now, I had Sky to watch PL games, but they only broadcasted 2-3 games per week last year and have now lost the rights. Instead we have a new streaming service in Germany, Austria and Switzerland that launched last week ... they are building a "Sports Netflix" and are broadcasting 6 PL matches per week, plus a few Championship games, every single Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1 games. All for €9,99 per month incredible, really. Watched all 6 live PL games this weekend, this is awesome

I'm gonna have to proxy myself into that program. We need that in North America.

Former Villa striker Dalian Atkinson dead after being tasered by police - https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...lian-atikinson

What a strange way to go. I loved watching him as a kid, partnering Dean Saunders up front, when Villa were actually an exciting team.

we also get NFL Red Zone, 50 live games and playoffs ... plus some NBA games. It's called DAZN ... no idea if you can proxy it.

Wicked. I think the Premier League needs to move to a Streaming Platform in Canada. The people who watch it care but there are not enough of them to make Sporstnet and TSN try hard enough.

Lloris is out for 4 weeks for Spurs with his hamstring injury. Not sure if this means they just run with Vorm or whether they add a keeper here.

that wouldn't make any sense. Vorm is one of the best backups in the league. Isn't a situation like this exactly why you have him on the bench?

I agree, but of course in the age of the internet the rumours are everywhere. I can't see the point of adding anyone because they're just going to be sitting behind Lloris and Vorm anyway.

Simon Stone @sistoney67
Was told earlier Joe Hart sees his future away from @ManCity. Just a question of weighing up options.

not surprising.

Riyad Mahrez has signed a new 4 year contract at Leicester. Good for them, I thought he'd go to Arsenal or Chelsea for sure.

EDIT: Sky says the new deal has no release clause. Well done Leicester!

Benteke to Palace for £32m. Wrong fit for Klopp but I can see him doing well at Palace.
