What was with that Schultz swinging backfist to Hathaway's face? That was dirty.

Hartley is at fault for a lot with the Flames, but I don't understand how that's his fault

Yes, oh my god yes. But to be fair, there are blocks of concrete that are better skaters than Babchuk.

You need to re-watch some of the teams games this season against the Ducks and Kings. Yeah great, we had a bit of physicality against the Flyers. But we got bullied off the ice by the Ducks and Kings, Sharks as well really. Those are the measuring sticks for our physical play, not the Flyers.

Really liking the game of Hathaway. The Flames furiously tried to tie the game. They lost.

Or better defence, or better finish, or better general effort for 3/4 of the game.

Head coach usually signals when he wants the goalie to leave the net for the pull
Flames had little to no puck possession for the last minute and a half at least and needed a change
Flames get the puck briefly and instead of finishing the change and seeing if we could get the puck deep before pulling the goalie Hartley does it in the middle of a change will we are still in our own end
Terrible timing and a terrible decision
There was still time on the clock to get it deep and then pull Hiller

Oh I wasn't implying we could go toe to toe with them yet. It's just a good sign to not see them roll over once it gets more physical. Philly** is definitely a watered down version of the big California teams though.

I also had no problem with the goalie pull. We had what, 50 seconds on the clock?

There was less than a minute left and the flames had made a full change and had possession behind their net with no stars in sight. It was execution that was awful
