Pretty sure bubbsy means Monahans family would get together at someone's house, like his parents and watch the game together (in Toronto).

Save the press box for on ice performance issues where it actually might serve a purpose.
Now Johnny and Monahan are going to get to sit there and eat popcorn while the fans have to suffer through watching a game without 50% of the talent on this team.
A bag skate or something would be much better.

Give me a break. Talk about a slap on the wrist.
If you're a true fan, you will understand why this is being done. Great move by the coach.
If this can happen to Ovi, nothing wrong with this happening with flames players.

Hartley is just trying to make it even. Remember they are playing Toronto ![Smile](images/calpuck/smilies/smile2.gif) Seriously though, there is a reason for a team rule. If you don't abide by it then you get punished don't matter if you are the best player in the team. These guys are young and Hartley is showing them tough love. I am sure these 3 players will learn their lesson and will be careful next time.

Unfortunately, in this day and age, with media looking for a story and everyone with a social media voice, that's the risk of doing something so drastic. People jump to quick conclusions.
Even with the Snet panel blaming the teams performance on these two guys, it's gotten a (likely) ridiculous life of its own. Totally disregarding the terrible PK and PP, it's initimated that JG and SM are the problem.
Unless the rumors are categorically denied, those stories will now persist for a lot longer than they should.

Just because someone makes an accusation does not make it unfounded. Your using a straw man argument trying to deflect from the issue at hand. Nice try tho

I'm glad to see that alot of fans are behind Hartley on this one, i was expecting to read alot of misdirected negativity. I feel for the fans in attendance, but I'm glad that kind of behavior is being dealt with.

Hopefully these players are embarrassed about this and see that they disappointed their team mates, fans, and even friends and family, and as a result these young players wont repeat this. I think this is different as its young players versus veterans.

I actually hope they aren't embarrassed, I hope they realize that Hartley cares about them.
He helped Ferland out, and he knows how talented these players are. He's doing the right thing, and I give him kudos for it.

Boring Sean Monahan @boringmonahan 2m2 minutes ago
I asked Johnny Gaudreau if he brought any skittles to eat while we watch the game tonight but he said he didn't bring any.

This could cost Monahan in the pocket book as well.
Could be the difference between a Type B bonus being earned or not. Could be good for the Flames bonus overage though.

IF, and I stress IF, this has been an ongoing issue, I sure hope this nips it in the bud.
As a Flames fan I'm hoping these two are going to be key cogs in what will develop into a legitimate Cup contending team. What a disappointment it would be to have character issues muddy that, especially when they seem like such good kids, with strong character.
(at least before this incident)
