I don't think it's a mystery. Monahan was getting double teamed a lot this year because his RW has been useles all year. Ferland is creating a threat now they have to give Monahan space. Ferland being a threat and opening space for Mony and Johnny is paying major dividends early.

He doesn't have to be the physical guy, which was the case with all the others except maybe Jones.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Just wish the team was more engaged, mentally, to start the game and to start the 2nd for that matter. Great turn around though. Have to hope they're dialed in now and looking at the way that period ended I think they are.

Those two are both such hypocrites. I glanced at that conversation and it made my head hurt. Frickin' children.

If only we could give Nenshi a time out and send Francis, Bettman and King on a rocket into the sun.

Nenshi should not be engaging in any of this. The way he has carried himself today is an embarrassment.

Strange to say in a game Calgary ties it up on two power plays, but the refs have been going easy on the Sharks, IMO.

This is why I refuse to use twitter.
Twitter in general just seems like a cesspool.

It does, but one is a professional gadfly and the other is a Mayor. It's a win for Francis if he gets a reaction, whereas it's a loss for Nenshi if he loses any credibility.

It's not even that. It's just Ferland's ability to "drive possession" is on full display. Winning races, can hold on to the puck long enough to find a cutter, can defend well enough that they're not getting hemmed in like they usually do. He's awesome.
He's basically doing for Johnny/Monny what Jooris was doing for Johnny/Hudler last year.
And to think I once said David Wolf deserved a callup ahead of Ferly

Meh, they're both re-enforcing opinions about them that I already had. Can't open their mouths without shoving their own foot in it

Or send Nenshi into the sun with the rest of them.
The guy can't keep his big mouth shut and he's like a 6 year old girl in that he needs to be the center of attention.
Anyways this is a hockey thread so I digress.

Social media pains me so this last year. I've deleted the Facebook and Twitter apps off my phone. I still have FB messenger because me and the guys have a group chat going. I'm thinking of getting the Groups app too because I'm in a closed hockey talk group that is actually quite sensible. My news feeds for both have been bombarded with very "artistic" views and opinions...

Okay I will say Colborne made a nice play at the em of second. However he only has 6 minutes of ice and made so many mistakes in such little time. I was shocked to see he had that little time, but so many turnovers lol.

I'm surprised he has 6 minutes after his play so far this game.

It may be that, with so little ice time, he tried to do too much. He already has a penchant for holding the puck too long. It sure was the case on his big giveaway.
