Hartley's use of Bollig, Raymond, Ramo, Wideman, Russell and the other passengers on this team (both generally and in certain situations) reminds me of the days of Brent Sutter. Stubbornly refusing to change pace or go away from useless veterans.

I ain't mad as Flames played a decent second period. It is another game to show that Ramo is useless, and that's worth watching the game. Just enjoy the young guns' play in the offensive zone.

I've lost track of all of the advanced stats.
I learned last year (from the oilers) and this year (from the Stajan) that the worst team in the league wins all of the important corsi. If you look hard enough at numbers, everybody wins!

I know Sean Burke doesn't want to be a goalie coach anymore, but if you're going to stupidly insist on playing Ramo/Hiller, pay Burke whatever he wants to come coach these guys. He's about the only human being I know of that can potentially salvage these two goalies.

I wish I could look forward to Matthews, but I don't see it. Puck luck tends to even out over the course of a season, and either Ramo or Hiller will get their #### together or someone else will be the Flames starting goalie by the end of the season. There's gotta be someone tending goal in the minors who's less pathetic than Ramo and Hiller have been.
I predict that the Flames go on a roll in the new year and end up picking 10th-14th overall (unless they win the lottery).
