I mean we all knew this was probably coming but it's still very ugly to watch. I honestly have no clue where her fall will stop at this point. Amazing to think she could be unranked by year end, but its not even remotely absurd to suggest it. In fact at this point, it looks like the likely outcome.

Seems she's been outplayed all year. After removing her 2014 French Open points, she's down to 9th in the world, lose today and a bunch of players will probably pass her. Except for 14 Radwanska and 15 V. Williams who lost yesterday.

I forgot that women's tennis is women's tennis. Genie still alive and if she can hold here to make it 4-5, puts a ton of pressure back on Mladenovic.

Well at least she showed a little something at the end. But her game is still in shambles and she still has no idea how to actually construct points instead of trying to bash winners. Until she can develop the ability to game plan and be smarter out there, it's tough to see the results coming.

yeah it's sad. When she's struggling, she plays faster and flails harder.
so that's it for Canadians in Paris.

Genie needs more matches first and foremost. 1st or 2nd round losses are ensuring she doesn't get any match action. But I also seriously doubt she can swallow her pride and play a bunch of 250 level events (or even Challengers...) just to build her confidence up. Rright now I don't think there's a single top 50 player she'd be favoured to beat.

She really should sign up late for challenger tournament that starts on Monday.
Like this one on Marseille!

Nothing but disappointment for a year straight for her. Maybe the fame and fortune got to her head?

Not sure what's up with her but watch that interview she did after losing. Confused, resigned, no idea, no plan. I guess we just keep on going to paraphrase. Yeah just keep right on going to obscurity.
Needs some help bigtime and don't look like she is getting any.

Perhaps we should just get on with Serena-Sharapova already. Halep on her way out, she really is the Andy Murray of the women's side, lots of talent but mentally as fragile as it gets.

Lucic is a great story. She was supposed to be the next one. Made the Wimbledon semifinal at aged 17 losing to Steffi Graf then just fell off the map with personal problems. Now she's back beating these players.

She got Halep at the US Open last year too. We need someone like her to make a run to make things interesting. At this point it looks obviously like it'll be Maria and Serena.

Genie seems more interested in off court endorsements than she does about winning.
Not sure where the girl who was all business, all about winning went to.

Women's draw is a total disaster. If Genie had any form she'd be a lock for the quarters at least. Serena even looked in deep trouble but has pulled it back it seems. Half the top 10 already gone after 2 rounds.
And what win for Kokkinakis (and what a choke for Tomic), from 2 sets down comes back to force a 5th, gets down 2-5 and saves match points to win it 8-6 in the 5th.
