Bennett has been so fun to watch! Can't wait to see him and Johnny together!

I think the entire city of Edmonton has gone noseblind.

By far the best player on the ice tonight, don't think it will be enough to make the club this year but wow he has skill!

One of the more enjoyable preseason losses I've watched. The boys had lots of jump.
The serious disappointments were the vets getting outplayed by the kids.
That's right Jones and Stajan... Almost every kid including Arnold played better than you both.

If preseason is about process more than results, Flames have to be happy with all aspects of that game except Hiller

Missed the third because the kid was sleepy. Flames the dominant team in every aspect except the the scoreboard. Being the pre-season, I'll take that as a win. Monahan looks amazing out there, so does Sven and Bennett. Kids making the vets look silly, except for Gio.
Trade Jones for a bottle of Gatorade or something.

Bennett was clearly the Flames best playing tonight.
I'd probably give Sven the second star, and Bouma the third (for Calgary).
I'd love to see him get at least a few games in the NHL, just so he gets that taste, and understands what he needs to do in preparation for next season.
Kind of feel like this will be how the season plays out. Outwork other teams most nights, out-chance them, and even outplay them... but still come up short. Tonight didn't help, that Calgary couldn't march out a single defensive pairing outside of 5 and 7 with any confidence.

No kidding. They really have the Flames number as it seems even if the Flames outplay them they still manage to lose. So many good chances where Flames players shot the puck right at the goaltender. Lack was shelled in the first period but he never had to make a spectacular save as all he had to do was play positionally sound as the Flames shot the puck right at him.

Except for that brutal giveaway that lead to a goal. Still have to remember the kid isn't even 20 years old yet; there's still bound to be some growing pains with him.
I agree though, he looks like a completely different player from last year, that confidence is sky high. The way he was driving the puck to the net, with authority.
