I actually like that logo and the idea behind it. Although, this is obviously a flames board first and foremost, I think we should maybe embrace the fact this is actually, imo, the best city of calgary based board on the internet as well.
So I'm actually digging the logos that don't feature anything hockey in them. The name of this site does enough to imply that it's a flames message board. You look at a lot of sports team message boards and you'll typically see a token off topic area, but nothing like this.
Not only is cp huge for entertainment/tech/off topic discussion, it's also become the go to message board for anything calgary related and I think we should embrace that as we move forward.

I can't remember the topic, but I think it was a vaccine related thread where an intelligent poster signed up and jumped into the discussion after finding us in a search and within 3 pages basically started gushing at our site, saying how he had proudly posted a link to us on his regular vaccination message board for all his members to see because he couldn't believe the level of intelligent discussion on the topic hidden on a local hockey team forum.

This has become on of my favourites. Incorporating the city and the Maple Leaf into the design is an interesting concept. Well done!

Yeah, I'm officially on board with this one. Really represents what CP is, and looks pretty slick. Plus I think it would look better at the top of a message board than a lot of these small logos.

And with no changes! It looks great, but you'll get an onslaught of "well, just change this and that".
Boo to that, you chose great, sharp colours and have good spacing, where there's a lot in there but non of it looks forced or cramped. Excellent work.
EDIT: I think everyone's ideas have been great, but I do think everyone has taken the term "logo" to mean it has to be like a team logo, as in it's small and would look good on a jersey. Then one like this comes a long and it's like "Oh yeah, it's a message board logo, it can be long, it can have a couple of things going on". It's going to sit on the top of a webpage, not get printed onto jerseys.

I really like it too. Not sure about the maple leaf though. Let's not give anyone the impression that we're supportive of the other Canadian teams.
Maybe a white hat or, I dunno... something else anyway.

I would like to see a Flames symbol somewhere (Probably can't add a Flames logo.. thought of this after I sent this..).. Maybe on the Saddledome.. or somewhere would be nice. Great job on the logo
