Not confirmed yet but it's looking like a foregone conclusion.

Yeah Vick easily puts them into wildcard contention if he ends up there. He still has a bit of tread left in his tires, especially since he was able to rest a couple years. They're not going to contend for the division, but 9-7 or 10-6 is a possibility.

The funny for me was the part about releasing Sanchez. What a terrible contract

The issue I have isn't with his ability to play- it's the Jets taking on another lightning rod. There might not be any better choices out there though.

For 8-10 games, yes. What they do with the other games will be the reason this is a step sideways for them.

2/3 of a season of Vick > a full season of Geno/Sanchez. Seriously, what other alternatives are there?

Vick is a Jet, Sanchez is cut. No idea where next is for Mark. Tannenbaum giving him that extension may be the worst decision ever

Admittedly, not a lot of options for the Jets and they had to move away from Sanchez. Personally, I think Vick is one of the most overrated QBs ever, so that's probably why I don't see the point.
I would have moved earlier on McCown or taken a shot at Freeman over Vick... likely at a far lesser cost.

Freeman is much worse than Vick and McCown will likely be this year's Derek Anderson. Vick knows Morhninweg's system so the transition should be fairly seamless. As long as Vick isn't asked to do too much he'll be fine. The big if is his health, but if he can give them even 12 games they should have a shot at the wildcard.

Not sure how Vick holds up under that Jets O-line, it's not very good. He can still run and throw the ball but takes a lot of hits and his ball protection is horrid. Interesting move.
Sanchez to Philly. Not sure what to think there. We need a backup for sure and I'm not as down on Sanchez as others but still, not sure I like this if it happens.
I think Sanchez has talent but wasn't rudderless by the NYJ.

Sanchez doesn't seem to fit the Kelly style but I think he has a lot more talent than most give him credit for.
I would have thought going to a more structured system with a QB guru would have made more sense for him.
He has the money at this point take a step back and do what is best for his career.

Manziel, Bortles or Bridgewater for the Browns?
My preference:
1. Bortles - may need more time than the others to develop
2. Manziel - risk/reward pick
3. Bridgewater - bad Pro Day

If I were the Browns wouldnt it be wise to take best player available @ #4, say a playmaker like Sammy Watkins, then take a QB with there second pick in the first round like a Carr or possibly Manziel drops?

Until you have a special QB, nothing else matters. Sure, there are some exceptions. What point is there in having a playmaker if no one can get him the ball?

The problem with the Browns drafting a QB in the first round is that he'll automatically be annointed franchise savior. This is why every QB fails in Cleveland, the expectation level is far too extreme, anything less than a QB who is, well, a "franchise savior" is deemed a failure. And this QB class is pretty flawed, no true franchise guys. Personally I'd rather see what Hoyer can do for a full year and draft some OLine help which Cleveland needs too.

Right, but who says that guy is one of this year's top 10 picks? Look at the draft two years ago when two very good QBs were taken in the third round.
