City is absolutely furious and they have every right to be so. Pique takes down the attacker in the box from behind and no penalty given. Multiple red cards against City but this ref has been terrible all match long.
It's a shame the ref ruined what could have been a very good match

He was bad all around, missed Lescott tripping Messi in the box in the first half
but City got the worse of it, Dzeko gets called for a phantom foul where he would have had a break on with Nasri I think, 1 min later Barca score
and then the missed penalty too
just ridiculous
also ridiculous, City/Arsenal have combined for 0 Quarterfinal appearances in the last 5 years, that's nowhere near good enough for any English team in this competition

Arsenal have actually made it to the Quaterfinals once in the last five years. For the four years where we know who was eventually crowned champion, Arsenal were eliminated in the Round of 16 by the eventual champion 50% of the time.
You have the put your numbers in perspective. In the last four years, Arsenal have played the club that was arguably the best in the World in the Round of 16 each year.

I thought including this year they hadn't
I didn't mean it as a shot at Arsenal, moreso the Premier league
and they have played the best in the world in the round of 16 because they have finished 2nd in groups, same thing as City
so while they may have some leniency for losing to Bayern or Barca, both of them, but especially Arsenal as a pot 1 team, arguably shouldn't have been there

If they make it through the extra round of Champions League money will be huge for them though.
Especially with likely no CL next year.

This ManU game is pretty fun to watch. This whole round has been a snoozer mostly.

For the first time ever, I'm not thrilled with my team winning a Champions League match.
I want Moyes out. BADLY

Welp, I hope we draw Dortmund during Friday's announcement.
Enchant, & romanticize Klopp --- huge transfer budget, and coaching in front of 80,000
And then he dummy's us. Our players praise him, and Moyes is canned.

Yes, if Manchester United cant be in the Champions League then UEFA is just going to cancel the whole thing. Whats the point without United?

You sound just like my soccer coach. An equally jaded Liverpool fan.
Waiting in the wings for years and years to be better than United, now you're ready to POUNCE!
