The Stars celebrate a new record for points in a game as the score rolls to 8-3. Brossoit looking small for a big guy tonight.

And there's another one. 8-3 Stars.

The Heat PK has been atrocious this weekend. They're operating at 60% (6/15), way below the league average.

Their PP has been atrocious as well. They're converting on 8.3% (1/12).

I agree, but it'd be a tough choice if I were Ward. In the first game of the road trip, obviously you go with Berra who has been lights out. Turns out, he gets shelled. Under normal circumstances you'd go with Brossoit in the second game to give your starter a break, but Berra's a competitor and likely wanted that second game to bounce back (and he did). You can't start Berra for a third game in a row because that's just unhealthy IMO.

Just a dreadful game through and through, but hopefully they let Brossoit know to put this game behind him because the team was dead tired.

6 answered goals?

Unbelievable. Ward is going to lose it.

Ftorek's going to lose it too. Probably more.

Make that 9-3.

...Boston Massacre 2.0... but in Texas. Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

9-3...Texas breaks their franchise record for goals in a game.
8 unanswered goals.
Another on the PP

Team has been clearly tired and undisciplined.

I disagree with what Ward did last night. Brossoit came in and shut out OKC after Berra's horrible performance. I think he should have let him keep the momentum and started him last night and had Berra start tonight. Berra might be a competitor but with 3 games in 3 nights, I would have used the better goalie back to back (which after Game 1 was Brossoit) and then put the guy sitting backup in Game 3.

Have to imagine Ward is hanging by a thread. There's a reason Ftorek was brought in.

God, I hope they aren't bussing it all the way back to Abbotsford. That's alot of time to be stuck in a bus with him. And I have no doubts he could go the whole time.

Yeah, that's the way the Flames do business. Hire an assistant with previous top dog credentials.

If Ward is fired, that leaves (I believe) only Ftorek on staff as a coach.

With the way Conroy has been taking increased responsibility with the prospects and rookies and doing a number of on-ice activities and practice with them (at least during Prospect Camp) and being just personable with them and their go-to, does this open the door for "Coach Connie"? He's GM of the Heat, but maybe there is a place as Assistant Coach as well and to balance out Ftorek?

I have a tough time seeing Conroy as a coach. Is that something he would want?

I want Conroy as coach just to hear him do post game interviews.
