If that were true, you wouldn't have posted that comment in this thread.

Why do so many posters feel the need to post this all the time?

Yeah, it's true. Another poster made that claim too, even after he took a board sabbatical after he had a ban, the only thing that drew him back into the discussion was constantly talking about Iginla, then making the claim he was over him. The only reason you posted was to say you're over him. It's weird.

We sure do... Don't think it will ever feel right seeing him in another jersey. The biggest dream come true would be for the flames to complete their rebuild in 3-4 years and sign iginla for his final season and have him win a cup with the flames to close out his career like lanny did. Nothing would be sweeter than that.

I think Iggy looks great in the Bruins uniform & will slot nicely into Nathan Horton's spot in the lineup. Playing with Krejci & Lucic in the preseason he looks pretty darned good. He should easily pot 30+ goals again & I'd be happy to see it happen.

First time Iggi gets protection on his line. I don't see him fighting much now with Lucic there to step in.

I miss Iggy as well, he was (is) a city icon, but I'd argue that Kipper meant more to the Flames than Iginla.

Why do people talk about Iginla like he's dead? He's still playing, still smiling his iggy smile. He looks good in a Boston uni and it's kinda cool seeing him on an original 6 team. I think they are a top 3 team in the league, and I think iggy will have a rejuvenated season. It's going to be great to watch.

I'll agree that Kipper was more important to the Calgary Flames on the ice in terms of wins and losses.
Iginla was just more important to Calgary.
I'll say hes a player in decline, but he isnt a person in decline.
I dont like that hes left, but I'll never speak ill of his character.

I find it kind of weird Iginla never made a comment or statement about the Calgary flood. Unless i missed it.

Yes he is. We've never had any player other than him come within one vote of a Hart trophy.

Just a fantastic read from today's Boston Globe:
http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/20...ALI/story.html
Quote:
On his last day in Calgary, Iginla couldn’t play, couldn’t risk being injured, so he didn’t get to skate with the Flames a final time. It was just over. Conroy remembers him saying, “It’s disappointing. I just wanted to do it for the city. They’ve been so great to me. I wanted to be able to give them back a Stanley Cup, and I wasn’t able to do it.”
He always wanted to win it in Calgary, to justify that love affair. He couldn’t. Now he moves on, and tries to win one for himself.
