Some more 10 cents on the dollar pieces from Liverpool. I think this could be a good move for the club as he has the potential to fit into Sam's system nicely. Him and Jarvis are a pair of good quality wingers feeding AC crosses. Now a fit AC or a good backup would be nice. Ravel Morrison seems to be amping up for a good year also.
|
2 seasons ago, Stuart Downing created the most scoring chances for teammates without any assists.
Last season the player with that statistic, was Matt Jarvis.
Both seasons Andy Carrol was the main striker they were servicing.

... Tottenham is scary as hell. If they can keep Bale and buy another CB (Rami or Chiriches?), I seriously believe that they'll have a shot at the championship this year.

Agreed. I foresee them easily qualifying for Champions League, and keeping Bale.

I don't think so. Lloris is the definitive #1, that CM is only better to an already solid CM, & a winger who scores at will. Lets see how they do on the perimeter outside of the golden child, but with Arsenal not improving, and United/City/Chelsea hardly improving, outside of manager changes -- I think they'll squeak in at the gunners expense.

I didn't think Arsenal had to bring in a new number this summer but an unsettled Casillas is something we'd be mad, or Wenger-like, not to investigate.

Yep, my mate who's a gunners fan suggested the same.
Heard it here first, David de Gea, Espanol #1, in Brazil.

Okay United, you need to stand firm with Chel$ea. When they offer Mata and cash for Rooney don't relent and instead open the door for a Mata exit to the Emirates. Hey, you still owe us!
With Swansea taking a look at Odemwingie are they preparing for the departure of Michu or just shoring up their attack.

I think most United fans would be very open to a Rooney for Mata + cash deal. United don't really need an attacking midfielder, even without Rooney - Kagawa and Welbeck can both play behind RvP. But if Mata wants the switch, it's a no-brainer ... if it's true that Mourinho considers selling him, he's insane. He was Chelsea's best player last year. Mata-Kagawa-Welbeck playing behind RvP in a 4-2-3-1 would be sensational.
A Mata switch would also kill that stupid Özil rumour ... always found him overrated and if United really shells out 45-50m for him, I'll be pissed. They basically need a box-to-box midfielder to play alongside Carrick and they're good to go ... so throw the money at Modric and stay away from Özil.

Good for Spurs.
That much money is too much to pass on, if they spend wisely they will be a better team with it.

Gareth Bale is 'Manchester United-bound' in staggering £125m deal, says ex-United star
In what could be the biggest twist of the summer transfer window, Gareth Bale may have snubbed a deal with Real Madrid in order to force a deal with Manchester United.
The Welshman flew home from Spain yesterday, and could be back in the UK to agree terms with United.
|
This might be my new favourite rumour. First of all, it would mean Moyes is insane. And second it would mean Levy just double-birded Madrid for the stage and jersey fiasco.

And while I'm there I might as well slap David Moyes across the face.
If this happened Fergie would probably roll over in his grave.
