I understand the dismay as our draft pick gets further away from the elite picks, but why isn't there any excitement about the prospects who are out there fighting for jobs? Isn't it better that they can outplay and outwork NHL players on more talented teams?
I just don't get the pure negativity.

So what would you have them do? Play like ass on purpose when most of them are auditioning for their professional careers?

I can't cheer for losses and I'm happy that they're winning, what I don't understand is how teams that are supposedly much better "playoff" teams are doing so poorly against the Flames

I can understand wanting the team to lose to get a higher draft pick.. but I don't understand getting mad when they win. What exactly do you want them to do? They are playing tons of guys who started the year in the minors.

You may leave now.
Go cheer for another team if you hate them so much.
If you can't find something positive I have to seriously wonder about your mental state.

Yes, I'm not a fan because I don't bury my head in the sand and act like better players don't tend to be drafted in the top 5. I'll take draft history - you can enjoy this win and pray for an exception.

You gotta blame the wild for this one. For a team playing an important game, terrible effort. Can't imagine it will be a long playoff for them.

I enjoy hockey because it's mindless entertainment, all this serious business and getting upset about things is for the real world. Tonight I am entertained.

Pominville was totally invisible in this game. I didn't even remember they had him until someone mentioned the trade.

then seriously don't watch the games, turn off your T.V. and don't turn it on again to the draft.
Its a game day thread and the incessant whining of the lose every game id annoying as hell.
If your only interested in seeing what happens at the draft then seriously just go talk in whatever draft thread there is.
You people are like the people that loudly complain in the movie theater that the special effects look terrible and the starlets boobs are obviously fake.

Don't know how they're doing it. Getting goals AND keeping puck out of net. Where was this earlier? They're getting results.

Because it's false. Every year there are teams that do this, their fans get excited, and guess what? They suck again the next year. These wins are indicative of nothing unfortunately.
