A cowardly senseless act of mass violence taken out on innocent people just enjoining their day off from work on Patriots Day. Thoughts and Prayers to all the victims and their families.
May Boston heal and come back stronger!
The Westboro Baptist Church gleefully announced via Twitter that it will "picket [the] funerals of those dead by Boston Bombs" after two explosions rocked the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing at least two, and injuring at least 100.
CNN had an overhead view of the area after it had been cleared out last night. It was pretty disturbing the amount of blood on the ground in the blast area. So ####ed up.

Not sure if related, but since it's in Boston, this is all I could think to put it.
Possibly a person of interest on board? I know that after the failed Times Sq bombing the perpetrator was apprehended on board an Emirates flight, after the airline failed to check multiple hours worth of updated no fly lists.
A suspicious package has been found at LaGuardia Airport in New York City, according to Bloomberg News.
An email from Steve Coleman, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, says that central terminal building (Terminal D) was evacuated.
Coleman says that Port Authority Police Department’s Emergency Services Unit and the New York City Police Department’s bomb squad are now on the scene.
NBC News reports that the package was in a shopping area in the terminal.
According to Huffington Post's Ethan Klapper, the FAA has issued a ground stop (which prohibits all planes from flying) until at least noon EDT.
Multiple reports on Twitter confirm the terminal has been evacuated.
I am flying to new york next month for a boys weekend away and boston in June with my wife, staying at copley plaza. Makes me not want to go anywhere, just stay home and hug my 8 month old boy.
"Boston becomes the new Baghdad and suddenly everyone's talking about it like they care. Syria is in a civil war with hundreds dying every day, the Americans killed six children in an airstrike last week and none of you said ####. You're either hypocritical or don't have a ####ing clue about what goes on in the world."
It is true that some people are clueless when it comes to the fact that these types of events are happening all the time elsewhere but I mean, what do you expect? Obviously it's going to hit closer to home when it happens on this side of the planet.

Man do I ever get annoyed with posts like this. Yes, we all know that people are getting killed in war zones in the Middle East, but there's two reasons they don't get reported.
A) It's a war zone, it's not out of the ordinary.
B) It's half way around the world in a place most North Americans can't relate to.
I find it disrespectful to the people of Boston to be quite honest.

Good lord. Now every package of chinese takeout is going to viewed as a suspicious package. I'm probably exaggerating, but the level of paranoia is going to reach huge levels in the coming days I think.
I think what's most likely is that "suspicious packages" are found daily in the United States, but the media only report on it now that something tragic has happened. Just adds to the paranoia.

I agree that it's disrespectful. But I also agree with the original intent of the post. Hopefully some people see it though and get a little bit of a wake up call.
