I remember Warrener when he played for the Flames. I do not (and do not want to) listen to him. Are you Warrener?

All Warrener did is tell the truth. The truth that gets hyped because it's the truth. Well what did the truth do? It sparked a fire under Iginla's ass. So obviously it's true, Iginla just proved it true tonight by his actions and play, which was amazing and what we are used to.
This reminds me of Bourque, when he floated around and didn't give a care. Hrudey went on national TV and told everyone he thought Bourque was a heartless joke (essentially, because he was) and the next game out comes Bourque, and he played amazing.
Sometimes these players need to hear the truth, that they are floating and the heart isn't there. Now, up until the Vancouver and Minny games, I actually thought Iggy has played with a lot more heart than last season. But after that Minny game, just that 1 game, it's enough for people to see the same BS and call it as it is. He responds, PROVES that if he wants to play well, he can, and look what happens. He dominates.
All his play tonight did, was validate Rhett Warreners opinion. Bottom line.
Also, Warrener is the only reason I listen to the fan in the morning, he's awesome to listen to, the only truly articulate honest media guy in Calgary, and he's just doing his job, and calling a spade a spade. Too bad if you don't like it, because it's the truth.

I think you mis-remember that Bourque situation, because he didn't respond at all.

I remember it well. He did respond... for one game.
Then he went back to being a liability.

he scored and was 2nd star 2 games later, and I recall him playing a lot harder overall.

which is exactly the problem. Because you can't have daily media commentary to motivate the unmotivated, I do fear the eventual slide back into the world of not caring for Iginla.

He had 1 goal and 1 assist in the 7 games after being called out. Quite the response.

I'm talking about the game or two immediately following the comments. But why stop at 7 games to call me out on something you have no memory on? Why not manipulate the stats a bit further and go 20 games?
Go watch the two games following the comments, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Why would someone have two random games recorded from 14 months ago?. What a ridiculous request. You obviously remember it one way and others remember it another.

I don't assume you have it recorded, I don't really give a fata how you watch it, but you're the one claiming I'm randomly making stuff like this up. So I'm telling you to go watch the game and get back to me.
Until then, why the hell would I take such a specific situation and use it as an example unless I specifically remembered it?
Then, in a similar thread tonight, a completely different person claims a similar sentiment about the exact same situation. What basis do you have that I'm wrong other than nothing? If you can't remember, why bother calling me out?
So I say if you can't remember, go watch the game, and if you can't get your hands on the tape, then buzz off... basically.

there's the post game thread of the first game after Hrudey's comments, the chitter chatter starts page 5. There ya go.

Just go back and read the post-game thread on this forum; Bourque was all over the ice the game after Hrudey called him out. It was noted and commented about by fans and the media. Then he reverted back to his floating.
