MONTREAL -- The Alouettes announced on Tuesday that running back Brandon Whitaker suffered a torn ACL in his right knee on Sunday, during the team's 28-17 win over the Roughriders. The 27-year old will require surgical repair and will miss the remainder of the 2012 season.

Winnipeg played an outstanding game. I am not sure who to give credit to but it looks like the win was a team win. Defense played well stopping Burris and Williams tandem, offense led by QB Buck Pierce played a lot better and they finally scored an offensive touchdown. Totally different team compared to the team who lost to Calgary last week.

Yeah, that was a good win, and Buck definitely made a triumphant return.

I'm proud of the fans for continuing to support the team through what's been a pretty awful season.

I know JC Sherritt deserves all the talks the announcers and color commentators but how come every time he gets burned or missing a tackle nobody even mention it? Just saying..

BC beat the Eskimos because Edmonton's offense decided to disappear again. I still think Steven Jyles is the worst starting QB in the CFL. LB Adam Bighill had a great game.

are you kidding?? Mitchell get away with everything it's ridiculous. I guess that's what happens when you are employed by an owner who owns two teams in the league. He's a good player but he is a dirty and a dbag! I wish he just sticks to use his talent.

Nichols has shown promise in his brief stints but he is still too young. Stamps should be heavily favoured against the Eskimos this week

Based on what I heard today, Nichols got most of the starters reps. I believe he will start.

Funny I was thinking the exact same thing. One of the stamp sets said there were 9 stamps and I assumed Ottawa must be included, only to realize that the 9th stamp was a GC stamp.

Given that they're coming back I could see why they might be included. However, given the fact that Ottawa isn't in the league right now I could see them not being included. Just a complete guess but if there is $$ involved it could complicate things. I'm referring to CP paying the CFL for the use of the images and such.

Then you have to consider what they'd include for Ottawa. Roughriders? Renegades? Whatever their team name will be this time?
