I doubt you'll ever see that kind of weapon in the Canadian Military. On one hand yes its incredibly effective as a concept. On the other hand, part of the design of this thing is as a terror weapon that can be easily used against Civilians.
On the other hand, I've also said in the past that one of the thing that Canada is really missing is a true mobile artillery shoot and scoot option. While a MLRS is a really effective battlefield weapon. A heavy mobile gun system would be something that Canada should invest in.

Well, yeah, but Canadian infantry may be on the receiving end of it.

I would hope not, I don't see anyway of defending yourself against that thing if your an infantry soldier except to not be there, or kill it before it kills you, but with up to a 10 KM range that's asking a lot.
There are really only two effective ways to defend yourself against Artillary. One is build as much protection as you can. Two is having effective counter batteries.

The Canadian military has begun to study options for an operation in Syria, for the Liberal government to consider as U.S. president Donald Trump hints he may expand the 16-year-old war on terrorism by sending more troops to that country after the offensive to liberate the Iraqi city of Mosul from ISIL concludes.
Officers familiar with how the military does long-range planning said that offering such choices — as well as examining ways Canada might continue to contribute to the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq after the war there ends — was standard procedure. It is prudent to constantly prepare and update options regarding potential overseas deployment to hot spots in case the government of the day asks for them, they said.

This is a better option than MOOTW

Its Russia's answer to the Humvee. But not as heavily armored. But it can carry a heave machine gun and grenade launcher in a rotating top side turret.
Plus it has excellent leather seating options and a excellent sound system with bluetooth.

Are those remote turrets or does the gunner have to stand in the back - exposed like an idiot?

Yeah but at least you have the illusion of free movement. I read a book about naval cruiser battles in WW2. If your ship was hit, game over, nowhere to hide. At least, infantry can kiss dirt.

I think that you should, at every chance, mentioned books that you have read on the military, especially during your basic.
