You say fluke, but I say well placed shot, through a screen, with a defender going after a rebound. A fluke would be off a stantion or on a one hopper.
Gotta give Forsling credit. He had a monster game, especially since his partner Ekblad was a giant turd for most of that game. He never gets enough credit, but he's an elite defenseman. Possibly the best stick since Lidstrom that I've seen. He's not very physical, but he breaks up so many plays with his stick and positioning from his skating ability. So, so underrated as a player.
That was a helluva series. Most games were super tight. Lots of hits...I think over 500+ between the two teams in 6 games? No shortage of tough players. I knew it was going to be an insane battle after last year's series, and it didn't disappoint. Kudos to both teams for showing up and giving their all.
Gotta give Swayman a ton of credit. He's now in the conversation for the elite goalies. His glove hand might be the best in the league right now. So calm, great positioning, has enough athleticism to make up for a mistake. Just so hard to beat in this series. Bruins defensive game was top notch as well. If they could score more they probably take this series, but it is what it is.
On to the next round! I like the Panthers chances from here on. Those were the two nemesis teams for the Panthers: Tampa Bay, and Boston. Beating both shows me they're ready for anything. I'm confident they can win it all this year.
