QOTSA announced a new tour. No Calgary. Vancouver though. They have a new album too.

Ticket prices for Kelowna Tool show. I assume it’ll be similar here.

Oh wow. I saw Tool at the Rendez-Vous in Winnipeg back in 1994 and I think it was around $20. How times have changed.
Still though, probably one of the best shows I have ever been to.

Is that re-sale or just standard pricing? That’s nuts.

Looks like the SD tour is postponed. Mike Ness has cancer.

That’s direct from the prospera place ticket listing. Prices also confirmed on Reddit.
Since prospera is only one bowl, we may see another cheaper tier for the high 2nd bowl here in Calgary. I would expect other prices to be similar. Plus potentially $50 in ticketmaster fees.

Lol. Yikes. Even worse than I thought. So basically the first 20 rows are vip which start at $800.
Anything in the first 25 or so rows that isn’t vip is dynamic pricing. As is most of the lower bowl except at the back. So min $500 per ticket.
The $250 tickets are the 2nd level and back of lower bowl.
I made out ok but I’m 20 rows back from the last tool show I saw. Oh well.
Edit: Better seats and overall experience Kelowna show. Much closer to stage this time.

I’m just hoping for the second deck somewhere. I don’t need to be too close, and I’m not paying those stupid prices.

Are you part of the Tool Army? My friends and I grabbed four tickets (first bowl) for $150 each. Plus $20 each for the Tool Army membership, so $170 each.

Yup.
But the cheapest seats in the lower bowl are $205 each. The better lower bowl were same as floor, $225, but I found closer floor seats so I went with those.
2nd bowl was around $150 but I may never see tool again, or until Maynard wants to buy another winery, so I figured #### it.
My Kelowna seats are better but were $25 more expensive. Not thru ticketmaster though.

Just got four tickets in the first row of the second deck. 122 each. Not too bad. I mean it's a lot compared to my two Metallica tickets for 110 total, but oh well.

Cancelled my order after seeing the total cost, I've seen them twice in the 90s and don't even like the most recent album.
I see that every 2nd row up close on the floor are VIP seats, $1,000 each. Go f yourself.

$150 was the cheapest ticket, I just have too many other things that are more important to put my money towards.
My appreciation of Tool was at it's nadir in 1998, that last album was a borefest and the decision to not release a standard CD rubbed me the wrong way. Their recent live shows rely too heavily on hypnotic images on the screens, a lowly lit stage and nonstop droning interludes. Just not worth it to me.
