I used to like this song back in Junior High when Much More Music would play the video every other night. Now that I'm older I realize it sucks, especially when Robert Smith sings it.

Seems kind of generic. Oh, a Platinum Blonde cover you say? That explains a lot of it.

Crystal Castles are one of the most annoying bands around today. Alice Glass is pretty insufferable. I saw them live once and it was a total disaster.

Never really been a huge fan of the cure either....

Needless to say this song doesn't really change my opinion on either.

A great vocal performance by Smith. Good song.

Heard this song a month ago on BBC radio 1. It's old now.

Are you sitting comfortably?.....then we'll begin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4SOnBDe7qs

Likely one of the first cassette tapes that I wore the print off of. http://www.musicbymailcanada.com/Pla...de/pbdisc.html
Never mind appearances as all the bands looked ridiculous at that time. You could argue that they were more musically innovative and did more for Canadian music vs a Tragically Hip although I did wear out Road Apples. It is a nice tip of the hat to have one of the most innovative Canadian artists at this time collaboarate with one of the most innovactive artists of all time to remind us of an often overlooked band that otherwise is forgotten. I will never forget seeing them at the Jubilee though....those girls knew how to rock out and sure had a way with the ladies Back in the days before bouncers and girls could easily rush the stage....Good Rockin Tonight, Much Music, AM 106 all before Alice Glass or Ethan Kath were even born so I guess their parents had a good record collection.....

I totally missed this album somehow. Is it as good as their first?

You can put me in the Crystal Castles win column, although I can understand why people wouldn't like them. A bit too avant garde to be everyone's cup of tea. I like the new album, especially Vietnam, and I'd say it is as good as the first.

I regret not seeing them perform live in August at the Reading festival but Arcade Fire was on another stage at the same time so the die was cast.

I like it; likely would have been best in the other 2010 music thread though.
