Not a 2011 - Side vents are different on the 11's.

The first two pics almost make it look like an open top salting hopper. The rounded back on the third pic make it look more like a dumper. Possibly a dump truck for a snow removal company to use a bobcat to put snow into the open top?

Refuse collection truck for sure based on the rear rounded hatch. That "ladder" on the side of the truck could be the arms and track system used to pick up bins.

Ford truck for sure... I would like some of what Dion is smoking.

I'm guessing it's an automated "side loader", as they pick up from the passenger side, and everything on the driver side looks closed in from your pics.
From wiki:
Quote:
Typically an Automated Side Loader uses specialized wheeled carts compatible with the truck's automated lift.[7]

I know this is a bigger truck, but it would make sense with the ladder over the driver's side, and the closed in back.

So, maybe the guy works for a private recycler? I see private blue bins at gas stations for empty oil jugs, and I think there may be companies that pick up recycling from condos and such...

Let's play detective!

1) I see garbage cans in the picture - Must be garbage day

2) I see a City of Calgary automated garbage truck in the picture - yup, it's garbage day

Based on the above, I would hazard a guess it's a garbage truck.

I haven't seen a garbage truck that small, nor driving around at 3:45 AM.

The city uses them for many routes, especially city park garbage and smaller auto collections. It's for the recycling bins on some small inner city routes where they have to go down alleys.

FlaemsGimp, you live innercity ish?

That's a ladder not an articulating arm for picking up bins. Looks like a smaller city dump truck, but I don't see any city logos, nor do I see any reflective tape on the vehicle. In the original didn't we determine that the owner of the dodge work nights?

ok i will post the video, he pulled by my house, then reversed into the alley right back to my garage. then pulled forwarrd a bit, turned off his head lights and sat there 4-6 minutes.

i actually saw the truck drive away, there is no side loader, no side doors what so ever. that is a ladder, and he had a shovel on back.

if you remember my thread about those suspects the guy selling the truck, ad said he worked nights, lol maybe thats him?

also i didnt cross anyone there some details i cant post for my own safety.
