I took "World Hand Drumming" and "History of World Music". Best thing is they are repeatable for credit, as long as it's not the same 309.XX course.
Next semester they have History of Heavy Metal. Wish I could have enrolled in that, but I graduate in 17 days.

I don't go to U of C (U of L for me), but I have a bunch of friends that go there. All have said that "Rocks for Jocks" is a guaranteed A

Yeah I took History of Funk. Easiest class ever. I got 98 percent on the essay we had to do, and the only reason I didn't get 100 was because I put one contraction in my paper. The midterm was kinda hard but the final was all multiple choice. Easy peasy.

ECON 201/203 are good.
Most easy option I got B+'s in because I just didn't go to them (except rocks for jocks, that one was just too easy).

It's actually a brutal lecture, and you're graded on the activity on crap like effort or knowing the thickness of the blue line in hockey.

When I was there anyone could enroll if there were spots open, a buddy of mine enrolled to take it with me...but this was 10 years ago...201 was friggen sweet too, I had lacrosse and squash.

While you do have to do 50+ pages of bull####, just by doing it you are guaranteed an A+, Sloan doesnt mark based on content he marks based on whether or not you have done it. Definitely an easy A, you just have to put in 1/2 hours per week of work.
GOPH 375 is definitely easy, but Alan Hildebrand is by far the most boring person alive, the most difficult part of the entire course is trying to stay awake in one of his lectures (it is not necessary to attend all lectures though which is definitely good).
GLGY 209 is by far the easiest class I've ever taken (make sure you have Melissa Giovanni. In her class it is possible to get 130% with all the available bonus marks.
SOCI 303 is an easy A as well, plus its actually a really interesting course.
For those of you in Haskayne, take BSEN 561 with Janna Woicyshen, one of the lighter courses in the faculty which is nice if your looking for some senior level commerce options. OPMA 403 with Janice Eliasson is good as well - it's basically a recap of OPMA 317 with open book exams.

Honestly, the easiest A+ I have ever gotten is surprisingly in ENGG 481. This isn't a standard engineering math and science course, This is Science and Technology in Society. It was an awesome course, basically it's just discussions about how the history of technology and it's impact on society througout history. 10 percent of your marks are for discussing stuff on the class message board that are relevant to the week's discussion. There is a choice of 15 books that you have to read and then you need to write a 5 page essay about a topic discussed in the book. It's not hard by any means, but I am a procrastinator and I ended up staying up all night to skim through the book and write the essay. I have recommended that fellow students that aren't in engineering take the course, but they all get turned off when they hear it's a mandatory engineering course. Take my advise, trust me, you won't be disappointed.

I didn't go to the U of C but I'm sure and equivalant class exists. It was a Philosophy class, Introduction to Logic. Essentially it was just the fallicies of logic, some Venn diagrams and some AND and OR logic diagrams.
So simple.

Really? I hated that class with a fiery passion.
My easiest A had to have been the first year engineering design course. All you had to do was show up and do a drawing every other week. Sadly I don't know if that class is offered to anyone outside of engineering.

They now have a new design class (ENGG200) which I think is a combination of 251 and 253. There are probably 30 people still going to the lectures out of the 100 or so at the start and the labs are just project design and management. Right now I should be sitting at full marks for everything which combined with a final worth 25% will make it an easy A. Though it might just be my TA that hasn't really been marking anything, just giving full marks if you do everything and the project works. Not sure what the final is on but the prof is going to go over it in the last lecture. Apparently it's going to be a drawing final.

Geography 205 (201?) was really easy. I took it in 2006.
Non-fiction English was also not much work. Just two essays and a few books. I think it was ENGL 233.
I really enjoyed GOPH 375. Very easy tests and next to no work. Definately has to be considered for easiest course at U of C. Go on the field trip! It was fun.

The easiest course I have taken is probably COMS 363 - Professional and Technical Communication.
When I took it, 25% of the mark was based on writing an email and making a one page small newsletter. Most of the rest was a term paper, that the bulk of the mark was assigned for being able to show you were working as a group and planning your time.

I don't know how different it is at UofC, but I go to UofA and Anthro 101 here is widely known as a GPA killer. Loved the subject matter, but its a tough tough course.

I think a lot of the classes at U of A are GPA killers. But I digress.

I found GLGY209 to be a lot harder than anticipated, although I was a first year at the time and didn't study. A lot of memorization
GEOG213, if still available is good. Learn a little bit about every portion of the world.

I just remembered that there was this hilarious CPSC class, friggen hilarious: make a word document, make a webpage, excel thing, ect... easiest class I ever took, and not brutally boring either. I have no idea what the class number was, but i doubt it's still offered...once agin, it was 10 years ago.
