The stand up craze that went along with Dane Cook has really slowed lately, but still lots of good stuff out there.
Patton Oswalt is one of the best, so is Mike Birbiglia. Love Nick Swardson as well.
As far as "musical" comedy goes, nobody better than Bo Burnham...and he's just a kid. Totally nuts.

Another Carlin fan here. I listen to his routines on my iPod over and over. Absolutely brilliant. Can't believe It took until page two for Richard Pryor.

He's a comic genius who always pressures himself to come up with new and hillarious material. I love this man.

Bill hicks for sure. Growing up I liked Eddie Murphy too. Then there's the guy who does the voice for the zombie on Ugly Americans, he's hilarious.

Daniel Tosh has some pretty funny moments.

I'm not even sure of the name of the guy I liked best. I was watching the comedy channel and this guy was great. I think he called himself 'Fluffy'? But wow, what a good show, he was amazing.
