I don't know if it was the stuff in the first clip that got him axed, as stupid as he sounded. If you click on the link and listen to the second clip, where he is talking about Jews and their power and influence, maybe that was the last nail in the coffin.

Lemme get this straight...
You claim he was fired because he was talking about things CNN didnt want him talking about, and then CNN allowed him to get on national TV and broadcast to an audience of millions...the day he was fired?
Jon Stewart's self-righteousness is starting to get unbearable and it's not helping the discussion or the political climate. (And this is coming from someone probably much further left than he is).
You haven't been watching the Daily Show recently, have you? Because if you have, I have no idea how you're getting this idea out of a show that's promoting a "Rally to Restore Sanity", one of the key slogans of which is "I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure you're not Hitler."

really?
As opposed to what? ....firing him on the spot and getting a monkey to fill in his time slot that night? I'm not even sure what your argument is...let's call it a "soft firing" then.......all better?
CNN - "Look Lou, we are going to take this ship in another direction, tonight is your last show"

To be fair that is what they did with Rick's List the "monkey" was Brooke Baldwin his normal eye candy co-host and she took over the next show.
I do think Dobbs was nudged aside over time not so much a canning more like he "got quit"

why is that so offensive? i don't see anything wrong with that. people need to have thicker skin....and im also a person that doesn't understand why swearing isn't allowed on TV/media...people should be allowed to express their feelings in however way they feel.

Much like how fag*ot or gay's formal definitions are obscured by their common usage, bigot, as it's used today, implies intolerance and hostility based on race, ethnicity, gender, etc.
I'm certain that if I went to rural Alberta I'd find plenty of people who would have a complete intolerance of my left-leaning politics, but I'd never refer to them as bigots.

I did stop watching regularly a few months ago, but I still tune in once a week or so if someone interesting is on. My problem is with his approach to a lot of the interviews. If he's talking to someone whose position he already supports he can be really obsequious. And if it's someone who he knows he's going to disagree with from the get-go he starts out smug and never lets up. It is a form of bigotry, and he's just as guilty of it as most of the so-called journalists like Sanchez that he makes fun of. And yes, I know it's a comedy/variety show. It's still hypocritical.
Meanwhile - when did Chris Wallace decide to be a real journalist again? I keep catching clips of him really giving it to some folks who would normally get a free pass on Fox.

It is not the bigot comments that got him fired it was the Jew minority part on the second clip.
