The conditions of the U-Pass make resale virtually pointless. Anyone that can use a U-pass should in theory already have one.

You're last line is 100% correct. My friend I found out doesn't have one as she isn't a full-time student so she doesn't have to pay for it, but she still has a student card so I just gave it to her.
